'Tiger King' Joe Exotic Fears His Cancer Has Spread, Will Refuse Treatment If It's 'Stage Three Or Four'
Joe Exotic revealed that he fears his cancer has spread and is claiming prison medics are doing nothing to help alleviate his pain.
“I have been waiting for a colonoscopy and endoscopy since October. Medical treatment in a prison is worse than at any humane society for dogs,” the Netflix star (legal name: Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage) spilled of his treatment behind bars.
The Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness star, who recently had his 22-year prison sentence vacated by an appeals court, revealed in May that he had prostate cancer. He underwent a CT scan recently and the procedure results were alarming.
“They are concerned it is in my stomach and pelvis,” he dished to The Sun, adding that the prison has been slow on getting him help. “I have not had any treatment or anything since May. I puke when I pee — the pain is that bad.”
The 58-year-old tiger enthusiast continued: “I’m losing weight all the time and the pain in my hip and pelvis hurts. I limp to walk. And my stomach has hurt for over a year.” He noted that he hopes to be taken to a specialist so they can run tests, including a “biopsy of my prostate and bladder, colonoscopy and endoscopy.”

Depending on the outcome of the tests, Exotic revealed that if his cancer has gotten worse, he’s ready to die. “When we find out where and how bad it is I will decide if I am going to do treatment,” he said. “If it's stage three or four I am going to let it take me.”
Exotic is currently locked up in Fort Worth, Texas for plotting to kill big-cat rights activist Carole Baskin. He was also convicted in 2019 on eight counts of violating the Lacey Act for falsifying wildlife records and nine counts of violating the Endangered Species Act.
In a failed attempt to be pardoned by outgoing President Donald Trump, Exotic detailed some of the harsh treatment he’s endured behind bars. “I have been sexually assaulted by jail staff, beat up and tied in a chair to the point the skin came off my arms. Please be my hero... my hands are damaged from the abuse in jail so I'm sorry for the soppy (sic) writing and spelling,” he wrote in the letter to Trump, OK! reported.
After his pleas to the one-term President fell on deaf ears, the Netflix star expressed his disappointment via Twitter. "I was too innocent and too GAY to deserve a Pardon from Trump," he tweeted on January 20, 2021, adding: “Boy were we all stupid to believe he actually stood for Equal Justice? His corrupt friends all come first.”
