Wendy Williams is taking a break.
“Wendy is dealing with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations,” a message read via her Wendy show Instagram account on Thursday, September 9. “She will not be able to complete her promotional activities next week, but can’t wait to be back in her purple chair on Monday, September 20th for the 13th season premiere."
Her famous pals and followers sent her well-wishes. “Feel better soon Wendy! Sending love ❤️,” host Sharon Carpenter wrote, while gossip blogger Perez Hilton commented: “Get well soon.”
“You got this queen!!💜, Orange Is the New Black alum Selenis Levya said, with many other sending lots of heart and prayer emojis.
It is unclear exactly what is wrong with the talk show diva, but Williams has been very open about her struggles with Graves disease — an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones.
In February 2018, the 57-year-old host revealed she had been suffering from the debilitating disease for years.
Williams’ message of self-care comes weeks after the single former radio host debuted her new mystery beau via Instagram.
“My son’s 21st birthday party on the yacht in #Miami was everything he wanted!,” she captioned a loved-up snap of the duo on Saturday, August 21, before sliding in: “Even my boyfriend.” She shares son Kevin Hunter Jr. with ex, Kevin Hunter.
After her tumultuous split from her cheating ex, her followers were happy to see the bubbly media personality back in the dating game.
“Congratulations! Well done Moma💕,” pal and Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger gushed, while matchmaker and MTV host Devyn Simone commented: “You deserve all the happiness in the world 🙌🏽 🙌🏽 🙌🏽.”
Williams ended her 22-year marriage to Hunter in 2019 after explosive rumors circulated that he'd fathered a child with another woman. An insider exclusively dished to OK! earlier this year the businesswoman is ready “for a serious commitment” again.
