Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga recently admitted that she and husband Joe Gorga have never been Joe Giudice's biggest fans. She also explained that even though they are family, they never spent much time with Teresa Giudice's estranged husband while they were still together and living nearby in New Jersey.
"I'm really not close to him. I never was and I'm not gonna deny it," Melissa said on Jonathan Cheban's Foodgod podcast. Melissa's husband is Teresa's brother, making Joe Giudice their brother-in-law. "We were never besties ... I never thought he was the greatest," she added.
Melissa confessed that both she and Joe recently unfollowed Joe Giudice on social media. "My husband unfollowed him on Instagram because he thinks he's crazy on Instagram," she divulged.
Joe Giudice moved to Italy in October 2019 after his release from prison and ICE custody. He and Teresa decided to separate in December after 20 years of marriage, and Melissa believes the split was the right move. However, she did acknowledge that the former couple tried to make it work for the sake of their daughters Gia, 19, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11.

"It's time to make new lives. I think they've both accepted it. The only thing everybody was holding on for is, obviously, the kids, because they want their kids to have their parents together. But sometimes it just doesn't work out and it's not working out because they live in two different countries at this point, so it is what it is," Melissa noted.
Teresa recently expressed that she's also fine with Joe dating and moving on. "We're doing good. First priority is our daughters, and that's it. I even told Joe, 'You know, when you find your significant other, I'll even come and hang out with you to make it good for my girls.' Obviously, if I'm fine with it, they'll be fine with it," she said during an appearance on Pop of the Morning.
On the February 5 episode of RHONJ, Teresa recalled a conversation she had with Joe while visiting him at the ICE detention center prior to his release. "Today, Joe said the craziest s**t to me. He said to me, ‘I just want you to know, I feel nothing for you.’ He told me, ‘Go find someone else. I won’t even be mad,’” she told her brother.
