Alec & Hilaria Baldwin Want The 'Best Holiday' For Kids As Police Investigation Into 'Rust' Set Shooting Heats Up: Source

While the past few months have certainly been trying for Alec Baldwin, he still has plenty to be grateful for with his family by his side.

Alec and wife Hilaria Baldwin plan to focus all their energy into their six children this holiday season, despite the ongoing investigation into the tragic Rust set shooting that took place in New Mexico in October. While keeping a low profile this year, an insider reportedly spilled the couple will be "spending a quiet holiday with the children in the Hamptons."

The actor and his brunette beauty — who wed in 2012 — share daughters Carmen Gabriela, 8, and María Lucía Victoria, 8 months, in addition to sons Rafael Thomas, 6, Leonardo Ángel Charles, 5, Romeo Alejandro David, 3, and Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, 13 months. Alec also shares daughter Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger.

Noting that Alec, 63, and Hilaria, 37, "love the holidays with their kids still being little," the source told People: "For Alec and Hilaria, seeing the joy in their children's eyes has been magical as they prep for Christmas."

"Their focus leading up to Christmas has been on the kids, decorating the tree, baking and spending quality time together," the insider reportedly concluded. "They want the kids to have the best holiday and are excited to see them open their presents."

Hilaria — who has vigorously stood by her hubby's side in the aftermath of the shooting that resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins — previously shared a photo of the family-of-eight Christmas tree shopping earlier this month. "We got a nyc Christmas tree 🎄. Possible holiday card photo??? We aren't all looking, but gang's all here, candy canes and all🍭," she lovingly captioned the fun-filled snap.

And while Alec will most likely be in good spirits with his family by his side for the holidays, the troubled actor still has the investigation into the October incident hanging over his head. Investigators most recently obtained a search warrant for Alec's phone.

"Affiant is requesting a warrant for the seizure and search of Alec Baldwins' [sic] cell phone to search for any evidence relating to the death investigation of Halyna Hutchins," the affidavit read. "Affiant believes there may be evidence on the phone, due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s)."
