Anna Faris Reveals The Real Reason She & New Husband Michael Barrett Decided To Elope
Anna Faris is getting real about why she and new husband Michael Barrett decided to elope.
Over the weekend, the What's Your Number actress addressed the couple's recent nuptials when she and Barrett were approached by photographers at LAX airport.
The blonde beauty, 44, explained she and the 51-year-old tied the knot at a private courthouse ceremony because “with a little bit of age, you don’t need the whole thing," Faris said, according to Page Six.
While noting it was her decision to elope, Faris confirmed they were the only two in attendance at their nuptials in Washington state.
The newlyweds were hand-in-hand as they were seen walking through the airport, per the photos obtained by the outlet. The House Bunny star and Barrett opted for comfy plane outfits, both wearing loose-fitted jeans and dark-colored t-shirts. The duo made sure to keep safe amid the ongoing pandemic by wearing face masks.
Aside from their ages, Faris most likely didn't want a big production for her wedding since she's already been married twice before.
The Mom alum was previously wed to actor Ben Indra from 2004-2008. She later exchanged vows with Chris Pratt — with whom she shares 8-year-old son Jack — in 2009 before they called it quits in 2018. As for Faris' new husband, he was previously married to Natasha Sabrina Sizlo, and shares two children with his ex-wife.

Faris and Barrett first met on set of the comedy flick Overboard, released in 2018, and reportedly began dating the year before the movie dropped.
She confirmed the couple's engagement last February after Faris' former Mom costar Allison Janney told Us Weekly the month before, "They've been engaged for a long time."
Rumors began to swirl last month that the two secretly wed after the cinematographer was seen wearing a band on his wedding finger. Shortly after the sighting, Faris accidentally confirmed the couple got married on her "Anna Faris is Unqualified" podcast.
“I think we’ve spent the last year in a place of reflection, in a place of kind of prioritization to some degree, a place of anxiety, a place of like, whatever, assessment,” she said at the time. “But I’m looking around, just so, just my fiancé’s right … he’s now my husband.”
The podcaster later clarified on the episode: “Yes, we eloped … I’m sorry. I didn’t know … I’m sorry, honey. I just blurted that out, but it just feels [like] I can’t say fiancé anymore."
It seems Faris has finally found her prince charming, as an OK! source exclusively revealed the mother-of-one is "over the moon" with Barrett. “Now that she’s found her soulmate, Anna’s reprioritizing her life and putting her happiness first," the source said. "Michael dotes on her, and he’s her biggest supporter. Anna’s never been in a better place!”
