Ariana Grande 'Never Thought It Was Possible To Be This Happy' With Fiancé Dalton Gomez

Ain't life Grande! After a string of failed relationships — many cataloged in her hit song, "Thank U, Next" — Ariana Grande is blissfully engaged to her bae of less than a year, realtor Dalton Gomez. 

"She's telling everyone how she never thought it was possible to be this happy," says a source, adding that Gomez — whom Grande met after hiring his firm to find her a vacation home outside of L.A. — "is incredibly thoughtful and goes out of his way to spoil her. He treats her like a princess."

Gomez proposed with a massive sparkler, which reportedly features a pearl that belonged to Ari's late grandfather. "Ariana is truly marrying her best friend," says the source. "They do everything together, never fight and are totally in sync about how they look at life."

Before the pop star, 27, blasted the big news to her 211 million Insta followers with a series of cuddly snaps and ring pics, she'd kept the courtship mostly under wraps.

In April, two months after she was first spotted kissing Gomez, also 27, at a local gastropub, Grande revealed that she'd "taken a step back" from "sharing special, personal life things... on the internet." 

The time away from the spotlight allowed the couple to connect on a deeper level. "Ari cringes about those days when she was caught up in the Hollywood social scene," says the source, adding that getting to know the realtor away from the cameras solidified their relationship.

"He's not impressed by fame and money. He loves Ari for who she really is, not what she represents or the success she's achieved." 

Still, Grande couldn't help but tease glimpses into their happy life together. In May, she cast Gomez in the music video for "Stuck With U" and made their romance Insta-official in June, with a kissing snap from her birthday party. 

"Dalton makes her feel so at peace," adds the source. "To say she's excited about the future is an understatement."
