Britney Spears Under Investigation For Alleged Battery Against Housekeeper, Pop Icon Reportedly Denies Shocking Claim
Pop icon Britney Spears is under investigation for alleged battery.
According to reports, her housekeeper is claiming that during a heated argument over the “Criminal” songstresses' pooches, things turned physical.
Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an alert at Spears' mansion on Monday, August 16, where the employee told authorities she had taken one of the singer’s dogs to the vet, claiming the animal had been mistreated.
The housekeeper alleged Spears confronted her when she arrived back at the house and the two began to squabble. She then claims the Grammy-winner slapped her phone out of her hand, TMZ reported.
The alleged victim then went to a Sheriff’s station to officially file a report. Sources claim deputies tried to get in touch with the pop star, but had no luck.
Spears' team is adamantly denying any physical altercation happened. The Sheriff's department is reportedly investigating the housekeeper's shocking claim, and will decide whether to file a misdemeanor battery charge against the “Toxic” singer.

The alleged assault could put a roadblock on Spears' quest for freedom as her estranged dad, Jamie, announced he was stepping down as her conservator.
As OK! previously reported, the 69-year-old's lawyer reportedly filed court documents to step aside and wants to work alongside the court to find a suitable replacement.
In court documents his attorney stated, “There are, in fact, no actual grounds for suspending or removing Mr. Spears as the Conservator of the Estate... and it is highly debatable whether a change in conservator at this time would be in Ms. Spears' best interests.”
“Nevertheless, even as Mr. Spears is the unremitting target of unjustified attacks, he does not believe that a public battle with his daughter over his continuing service as her conservator would be in her best interests,” the docs read. “So, even though he must contest this unjustified Petition for his removal, Mr. Spears intends to work with the Court and his daughter's new attorney to prepare for an orderly transition to a new conservator.”
“Regardless of his formal title, Mr. Spears will always be Ms. Spears' father, he will always love her unconditionally, and he will always look out for her best interests.” the lawyer explained.
