Britney Spears Reportedly Blames Estranged Father Jamie Spears For Her Dogs' Disappearance
Britney Spears believes her dad, Jamie Spears, is responsible for her dogs being taken away from her, according to a new report.
The blonde beauty's pups were reportedly snatched from her after her dog sitter and housekeeper felt the animals were being neglected. In fact, it's believed that the housekeeper's concern was what triggered the confrontation between the "Toxic" singer and her housekeeper, which led to a criminal investigation.
The altercation went down after one of her dogs became sick two weeks ago, and her dog sitter — who is also a nurse — decided to take her pup and the other one to the vet. However, the dogs were never returned home, according to TMZ. An insider claimed the dog sitter kept the dogs and has been taking care of them because she had doubts over whether the furry friends were safe in the embattled icon's home.
OK! reported the mother-of-two called the Ventura County Sheriff's Department on August 10 to file a theft report over her dogs. But when the police showed up at her house, she seemingly had a change of heart and sent the cops away.
When the dogs still weren't brought home to her by Monday, August 16, she suspected Jamie — who recently announced he was stepping down as her conservator amid her controversial conservatorship case — had something to do with her pets' disappearance.
Spears confronted her housekeeper — who gets paid by Jamie — asking if she knew where her pups were or why they were taken. The housekeeper then expressed concern that Spears wasn't taking care of the animals, and showed photos on her phone of one of the dogs that had just thrown up, an insider claimed.

According to the source, the Grammy Award winner believes the housekeeper sent the photos to Jamie and then called the dog sitter to pick up the animals. Meanwhile, an insider claimed Jamie doesn't know what goes on behind closed doors at his daughter's house, alleging he had no knowledge of any problems with her pets.
He's "totally in the dark on what goes on in her home," the source insisted of Jamie, pointing out: "He's been shut out."
Regardless of who the housekeeper sent the photos to, or if she even sent the pictures to anyone, Spears was very upset with the housekeeper and reportedly ordered her to not take photos in her house.
Their heated argument then turned physical when the artist hit the phone out of the housekeeper's hand, said the insider. However, the housekeeper claimed Spears struck her arm, which caused her phone to drop.
The alleged victim filed an official police report at the Sheriff's station, and her shocking claim is being investigated. The authorities will then decide whether to file a misdemeanor battery charge against the "Gimme More" songstress. Meanwhile, Spears' team is adamantly denying any physical altercation happened.
As of Thursday, August 19, Spears still didn't have her dogs.
