Britney Spears Sends Cryptic Message Ahead of Tell-All Memoir Release: 'See You in H---'
Britney Spears reminded her enemies where they can find her ahead of her bombshell memoir release on Tuesday, October 24.
After deactivating her account for less than 24 hours, the Princess of Pop shared a cryptic post to Instagram, where she informed her followers she'll "see you in h---" as more shocking revelations from her past continue to be unveiled.
The subtle statement was written on a heart-shaped cake with lit candles in a graphic she credited to Italian art director and photographer Marta Blue.
Spears' comments section was disabled on her post, which was simply captioned with two manicure emojis.
The "Toxic" singer's cryptic message comes after she uploaded a lengthy statement defending the shocking secrets she exposed in her tell-all memoir, The Woman in Me.
"My book's purpose was not to offend anyone by any means!!! That was me then... that is in the past!!!" Spears expressed in a rant uploaded on Friday, October 20.
"I don't like the headlines I am reading," she admitted regarding coverage of her tell-all transcript, which has already exposed the downfall of her and Justin Timberlake's relationship and an abortion she had after getting pregnant with his child more than 20 years ago.
Spears continued: "That's exactly why I quit the business four years ago !!! Most of my book is from 20 years ago ... I have moved on and it's a beautiful clean slate from here!!!"

"I am here to establish it that way for the rest of my entire life," said the award-winning artist — who was freed from her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021. "Either way, that is the last of it and s--- happens!!!"
"This is actually a book I didn't know needed to be written," Spears confessed after struggling with mental health issues for decades.
"Although some might be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future!!! Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel particularly alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood!!!" she added, noting, "again, my motive for this book was not to harp on my past experiences which is what the press is doing and it's dumb and silly. I have moved on since then."
Spears eventually turned off the comments section of the post, which she keeps off for the majority of her uploads, but not before fans were able to share their support for the 41-year-old.
"We are happy to hear your voice again Britney!" one admirer promised. "For far too long you were silenced. It’s time you were able to tell us in your words what’s been going on for the last 20+years. Be proud we are proud of you!"
"Thank you for sharing your story @britneyspears," a second person detailed, while a third exclaimed: "We love you!!"
