Brother-in-Law Says Perez Hilton Fell Multiple Times Causing Broken Bones the Night of His Self-Harm Livestream

Perez Hilton reportedly suffered multiple broken bones on the night of his mental breakdown.

The celebrity blogger was hospitalized earlier this month following a graphic TikTok livestream where he was allegedly “livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media.”

He could be seen with cuts across his arms and torso at the time, with heavy bleeding. However, his brother-in-law recently revealed that his injuries are reportedly even more severe than that.

Hilton's brother-in-law, Tom, appeared on the recent episode of “The Perez Hilton Podcast with Chris Booker” on August 23.

During the conversation, which centered around updates on the dad-of-three’s health and treatment, Tom revealed that the 48-year-old actually suffered even more injuries than people previously thought.

According to him, Hilton fell multiple times during that night while he was going through the mental breakdown that resulted in his alleged suicide attempt. He reportedly broke “numerous” bones in his body as a result of those falls.

TMZ reported earlier that the blogger was also being treated for a drug overdose during his hospitalization, per an incident report from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office. Reports also suggested that his injuries were so severe that he required surgery.

Tom further explained that although the internet personality is currently “lucid,” he has not been allowed to visit his children. They reportedly remain with their grandmother after she filed for emergency temporary legal guardianship following his breakdown.

Hilton's brother-in-law and Booker also discussed the possibility of the media personality suffering from sepsis-related psychosis, which they speculated could have contributed to his current state. The columnist was hospitalized for the condition earlier this year.

As for how long it might take for the actor to complete his recovery, Tom said, “However long that takes ... is however long that takes. I don't think you're going to see him pop up in a few days.”

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., was held in a hospital in Miami, where he moved earlier this year, after his public mental health crisis, under Florida’s Baker Act.

The act allows the authorities to detain someone involuntarily who shows signs of severe mental health issues that could potentially result in the individual harming themselves or others.

Per Tom, the active period of the Baker Act has expired, and Hilton will soon be transferred to a new medical facility to continue his recovery journey.
