Cher reportedly slammed her daughter-in-law MarieAngela King after the latter attempted to become the conservator of the pop icon's troubled son Elijah Blue Allman.
According to TMZ, the Moonstruck star, 80, believes King, 39, is only "thirsty for fame" and is not really "concerned" for Allman's mental well-being.
Cher Filed Court Documents Opposing Elijah Blue Allman's Wife

Cher blasted Elijah Blue Allman's wife, MarieAngela King, claiming she's 'thirsty for fame.'
The publication noted Cher filed court documents recently opposing King's "attempt to be appointed his guardian to take control of his life."
Cher noted in the paperwork that she wasn't the only one who felt this way, as it was also the sentiment shared by the hospital where Allman, 50, is currently being treated, as well as the rest of her family.
Cher Believes MarieAngela King Is Only Looking for Notoriety

Elijah Blue Allman was arrested twice earlier this year.
Cher also alleged that King — who married Allman in 2013 — didn't take care of the Deadsy musician before his February arrest in New Hampshire.
The "If I Could Turn Back Time" crooner said she believes King tried to take charge because she is “inserting herself back into the picture on a quest for money and/or a bit of fame.”
Cher explained in the documents that her son refused King's request to visit him on three separate occasions while being held at the New Hampshire State Hospital.

Allman is currently being housed at the New Hampshire State Hospital as he awaits trial.
Cher Filed for a Conservatorship Over Elijah Blue Allman in 2023

Elijah Blue Allman suffered with substance abuse issues throughout his life.
Cher first filed for a conservatorship over her son in 2023 due to his substance abuse issues.
A hearing was conducted on Tuesday, September 1, where Cher asked a California court to pause the conservatorship case for 120 days.
The "Believe" singer said she wanted to wait to continue the case while a separate guardianship legal battle involving Allman plays out in New Hampshire. The New Hampshire State Hospital began guardianship litigation for the rock star back in July.
King also previously objected to Cher's conservatorship case, claiming the Mamma Mia 2 actress should not interfere with Allman's psychiatric care.
