CNN Chief International Correspondent Clarissa Ward delivered a brief, poise-filled response to the White House after its official campaign account insulted her online.

The Trump administration's official White House Rapid Response 47 account on X re-shared the video with a mocking statement.

“Imagine being a self-described 'serious' journalist at CNN and acting like a complete freak in public, embarrassing yourself all for some social media clicks. Honey, nobody wants to watch that hot mess," the message read.

Hours later, Ward directly commented on their post with a single, sharp sentence: "Dancing is good for the soul."

The White House's attack drew immediate backlash from social media users, who labeled the administration's focus hypocritical given President Donald Trump's own history of highly publicized dance moves on global stages.

Supporters and media analysts rushed to defend Ward, noting that after a distinguished 20-year career reporting from high-risk war zones like Syria, Ukraine, Iraq and Gaza —which has earned her 12 Emmy Awards — she has more than earned the right to blow off steam.
