Social Media Weighs In

Eric Trump was accused of using AI to edit a photo of Donald Trump.

“Eric Trump posted what appears to be an AI-altered pic of his dad,” posted Patriot Takes.

Eagle-eyed social media sleuths noticed the image carried clear hallmarks of artificial intelligence or heavy digital modification, such as weird splotches in the background and an extra foot.

“Have you ever seen this POS hugging or embracing any of the children in any picture? NEVER. Just uses them for another phony photo op. Just props,” noted one.

Social media users noticed the POTUS looked physically different in the image.

“Where's his fat stomach? White teeth? No discolored hands?” pondered another.

“There's another foot back there, too. I bet this photo was of the kids and other people and he photoshopped (badly) his dad in the photo,” suggested another.

"The background items are definitely questionable lol," quipped someone else.

This incident follows a broader trend within the Trump family's social media strategy. Just weeks prior, in July, Eric's wife, Lara Trump, admitted to using an AI app that accidentally distorted her family World Cup selfie.

Additionally, the post-happy POTUS himself frequently posts surreal AI-generated imagery on Truth Social.

Detractors and online commentators quickly amplified the post to mock the family's continued reliance on "artificial" imagery for family and political branding.

This wasn’t the first time Eric posted an AI-altered picture of his dad.

Eric Trump claimed screenshots of him allegedly messaging UFC commentator Daniel Cormier were made with AI.

He previously posted a widely mocked, AI-generated photo of the octogenarian POTUS on April 4, 2023, depicting his father walking triumphantly down a New York City street surrounded by a massive crowd.

Eric shared the fake image on X with the caption "One of a kind!" right after his father was arraigned in Manhattan on criminal charges related to hush money payments.

On March 31, Eric posted an AI-generated promotional video showcasing fictional, elaborate waterfront skyscraper concepts for a planned Donald Trump Presidential Library and Museum in Miami, Fla.

In October 2025, he posted a bizarre, AI-generated video featuring a robotic-looking crowd packed inside a White House room cheering and holding up copies of his memoir, Under Siege.

More recently, in June, the 42-year-old Trump heir blamed AI after screenshots leaked from UFC commentator Daniel Cormier's account, allegedly showing Eric asking whether any fights at a White House UFC event were rigged.
