Garrett Hedlund Attempted To Jump Out Of A Moving Vehicle Prior To Public Intoxication Arrest: Report
Garrett Hedlund had a very intense weekend in Tennessee.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the actor, 37, attempted to jump out of a moving car before he was arrested on Saturday, January 22, for public intoxication.
An anonymous person alleged to the police that not only did the TRON: Legacy star jump out of the vehicle, but he also kicked the apparent witness and swung on him. The man did not press criminal charges, it was reported.
The report indicated that cops got a call around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday for a disturbance, with a man claiming the recently single star was banging on the back door of a building.
When police picked up Hedlund, he was reportedly intoxicated, reeked of booze, had a completely slurred speech and didn't follow the officers' commands when directed.

The father-of-one — who shares son Rhodes Robert Hedlund, 1, with ex Emma Roberts — reportedly told police he was trying to get some stuff he left inside the building. However, authorities reportedly believed Hedlund was intoxicated and a danger to himself and others, placing him under arrest for public intoxication.
The On The Road actor — who authorities deemed caused "unreasonable annoyance" in the police report — was released on a $2,100 bond later that night, it was reported.
Hedlund was previously arrested in 2020 on two DUI charges after his blood alcohol level was four times the legal limit. He pleaded no contest to one charge, and as a result, the court found him guilty. The second DUI charge was later dismissed.
As OK! exclusively reported, prior to news that the couple officially called it quits less than a week ago, Hedlund and Roberts, 30, had been having problems for a while.
"When people ask why Garrett isn’t there, she says she enjoys time out with her friends and needs a break from home life,” a source spilled, adding that “her relationship with Garrett is rocky, to say the least."
