However, the tribute immediately sparked fierce criticism, with internet users labeling her words "tone-deaf" and "hypocritical" when contrasted with the aggressive political rhetoric of her father, President Donald Trump, and her brothers.

Commenters quickly pointed out that the message of unconditional love stood in stark contrast to the daily conduct of the MAGA party and her immediate family.

Social media users highlighted the Trump administration's past policies regarding marginalized groups, arguing that praising Parton's support for the LGBTQ+ community was hypocritical.
