COUPLES'Things Were Moving Very Fast': Katie Holmes & BF Emilio Vitolo Jr. Pumping The Brakes On Their Relationship, Insider Dishes
After their hot and heavy romance, which began late last year, Katie Holmes and beau Emilio Vitolo Jr. are reportedly pumping the brakes on their relationship.
Although the couple has not broken up, they are slowing things down, due to Holmes' busy lifestyle and career. “Katie has a lot of big priorities in her life — she’s a single mom, her daughter [Suri] always comes first and things were moving very fast,” a source dished, adding that: “Katie has a lot going on and Emilio is busy working at his restaurant with his dad.”
The Dawson’s Creek alum and the restaurateur were first spotted grabbing dinner in September in New York City. Despite Vitolo being previously engaged to Rachel Emmons — the two just called it quits right before he started dating Holmes — OK! reported that he and Holmes were getting "serious."
Holmes and Vitolo made their relationship Instagram official in December. Vitolo celebrated the actress's birthday with a sweet post calling her “the most amazing, kindest, beautiful person.” Holmes thanked the N.Y.C.-based chef with an “I love you” in the comments.

Although Holmes is completely smitten with Vitolo, OK! previously reported that the Batman Begins star's friends fear her romance with hunky chef could be a recipe for disaster as he is still communicating with his exes and has “gotten cocky” since he began dating the actress.
"Emilio's ego has been out of control," an insider dished to OK!. "He's constantly checking out pretty girls on Instagram and even on the street when he's arm-in-arm with Katie. On top of that, he's still in touch with a bunch of his exes and there are whispers that he's been bragging that Katie's lucky to be dating him, not the other way round."
Despite the warning signs, Holmes "is convinced Emilio is a perfect gentleman and her soulmate," the insider added. "Everyone is just hoping that he doesn't end up breaking Katie's heart."
Holmes previously dated singer and actor Jamie Foxx for several years before linking up with Vitolo. She was notoriously married to A-list actor Tom Cruise from 2006-2012. The former flames share 15-year-old daughter Suri Cruise.
