A-list actress Katie Holmes has been inseparable from Emilio Vitolo Jr. since they hooked up last fall, but friends fear her romance with the hunky chef could be a recipe for disaster.
"Emilio's ego has been out of control," dishes an OK! insider. "He's constantly checking out pretty girls on Instagram and even on the street when he's arm-in-arm with Katie. On top of that, he's still in touch with a bunch of his exes and there are whispers that he's been bragging that Katie's lucky to be dating him, not the other way round."

The insider claims that Vitolo Jr. has "gotten cocky" since they linked up last year.
The restaurateur, 33, raised eyebrows when it was revealed that his live-in fiancée, designer Rachel Emmons, 24, was dumped — via text! — right before he and Holmes went public in September. But despite the warning signs, the Dawson's Creek alum, 42, "is convinced Emilio is a perfect gentleman and her soulmate," the insider adds. "Everyone is just hoping that he doesn't end up breaking Katie's heart."
OK! was first to break the news that Vitolo Jr. ended his engagement to the designer on the same day he was photographed with Holmes on September 1. "The relationship ended last Tuesday," a source close to Vitolo exclusively told OK! at the time. "Same day from the photos."
What's more, the same source told OK! that Vitolo Jr. and Holmes "had been seeing each other for a while" and that they were "shocked to hear that [Katie and Emilio] were sneaking around the whole time."
At the beginning of his relationship with Holmes, the insider revealed to OK! he had "apparently been on Raya the entire time" they started seeing each other. The source said that Vitolo met his ex-fiancée on the celebrity dating app (which must approve its high-profile members!) before ditching her for Holmes.
Still, despite his shady past, a second source told OK! that Holmes is absolutely smitten with Vitolo Jr. and is ready for the next chapter. "She is in love, and ready to form a brand new little family,” said that source. “He is a total gentleman that takes her for dinner and then walks her back home to her apartment. She is surprisingly old fashioned when it comes to love. We haven’t seen Katie this happy in a very long time."
Vitolo Jr. recently went official with Holmes on Instagram by wishing her a happy birthday.
