As the reported divorce of America’s favorite duo rages on, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are heading towards a custody battle, OK! has learned, with the reality TV icon’s family urging her to fight for sole guardianship of North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 19 months.

“While [Kim] thinks Kanye can, most often, be a good dad, he is prone to breakdown moments — and god forbid the children are with him,” a source dished exclusively to OK!. “Kanye is a sick man and needs help. Kris [Jenner], Kourtney [Kardashian] and Khloé [Kardashian] are all telling Kim that she needs to petition for full custody or at worst, if Kanye is allowed custody, that it is supervised.”
Losing his children would be a devastating shock to the “Stronger” rapper; a source previously told OK! that he is hell bent on saving his marriage for the sake of his kids. According to the insider, West is keeping in constant contact with his offspring via FaceTime, and there are plans in place for them to visit him soon.
“Kanye lives full-time at his ranch in Wyoming and has no plans to return to Los Angeles, where his wife and children call home,” a source dished to OK!, noting that Kardashian doesn’t intend to change her living arrangements either — so staying together would be crucial to keep his family intact.

However, West is doing himself no favors as of late by pushing his wife further away with his insecurities. OK! learned that the "final nail in the coffin" for the power couple was West’s jealousy of Kardashian’s relationship with CNN commentator Van Jones.
“There is nothing romantic going on between Kim and Van, but there is no denying that she admires him, and he admires her," a source told OK!. “Kanye is deeply insecure and cannot stand the fact that Kim’s life no longer revolves around him.”
The source stressed that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star's "devotion to the kids is her number one priority” at the moment, which seems reason that sisters Kourtney and Khloé have Kim's and the kids' best interests at heart.
