Marilyn Manson To Turn Himself In For Alleged Videographer Assault
Singer Marilyn Manson will reportedly turn himself in light of assault charges pertaining to an incident in 2019 with a videographer in New Hampshire, police say.
The 52-year-old, who was born Brian Warner, will report to the Los Angeles Police Department per an agreement between New Hampshire officials and Manson's attorney. However, it is not yet clear when he will be turning himself in according to Gilford Police Chief Anthony Bean Burpee, CNN reported.
The rocker will face two misdemeanor counts for allegedly assaulting a videographer hired to record the concert. He allegedly spit at the videographer's camera throughout the show at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion on August 18, 2019.
According to WMUR 9, Manson would be arraigned in the Laconia District Court in New Hampshire sometime during the summer.
The Gilford Police Department posted about the warrant on Facebook in May where they claimed that Manson, his agent and legal counsel had been made aware of the warrant and had not made an effort to return to New Hampshire to answer to the charges. They also noted that the "issuance of an arrest warrant is not a presumption of guilt."
According to the police department, a Class A misdemeanor in the state can come with a potential jail sentence of less than one year and a fine of up to $2,000.00.
The charges are not sexual in nature.

As previously reported by OK!, his attorney Howard King, told PEOPLE that Manson enjoys being "provocative" on stage and in front of cameras.
"This misdemeanor claim was pursued after we received a demand from a venue videographer for more than $35,000 after a small amount of spit came into contact with their arm. After we asked for evidence of any alleged damages, we never received a reply," King said.
However, one witness claimed that Manson was "spitting everywhere" and when it got on the videographer's camera she wiped it off but looked "semi-irritated." Manson allegedly noticed that she was irritated and kept spitting on the camera.
"I think her final straw is he got on the floor, got within 2-3 feet of her and hacked a giant snot rocket at her not the camera. She was pissed off and disgusted so she stormed off and he just laughed," the witness said.
This comes after Manson was dropped from his record label, and manager after Evan Rachel Wood, Esme Bianco and more woman came forward with allegations of abuse.
Manson denied all the claims made against him as "horrible distortions of reality" and said his "intimate relationships have always been entirely consensual with like-minded partners."
Manson is also said to be under investigation by the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department for alleged domestic violence.
