Meghan Markle Set to 'Make Return to Acting' With U.K. Move — as Couple Is Warned There's 'No Way Back' to Join Royal Family

Meghan Markle may return to the screen amid her and Prince Harry's bombshell move back to the United Kingdom.

The former actress and her royal husband announced they would be heading back to the U.K. this August after six years living in California.

Their children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, are reportedly set to begin school there in the fall as the family resides as private citizens in the country.

While King Charles seems to have welcomed the couple back with open arms, Prince William's reception has been icy, insiders claimed. The prince appears to believe there is "no going back" to the royal family for his estranged brother.

"William will be furious," former royal confidant Grant Harrold told The Independent. "Harry has said some extraordinary things about the family. William is somebody that when you break trust, and you go beyond a certain point, there's no going back."

“Before, William would have said 'he's 5,000/6,000 miles away and it's not my problem, he's in another country.' But now he's suddenly back on the doorstep," Grant added. "I just don't think he's going to be happy about the situation at all."

Harry and Meghan have not cited their reasoning for returning to the United Kingdom after such a lengthy estrangement from the royal family.

As for now, it does not appear they will return to the duties they abandoned so long ago. Meghan, however, seems to have already set up other career ventures for herself.

Those close to the family reported that Meghan was offered an acting job "out of the blue" for the first time since she stepped away from her role on the hit drama Suits in 2018.

"I learnt this from entertainment sources that Meghan has been offered, obviously a significant enough role that it's something that's got her very excited about moving back to Britain, a place honestly I think most of us and probably herself for a while, thought she'd never really return to in a permanent capacity," royal correspondent Bronte Coy told Sky News.

It's unclear what that role may be, but Meghan has been easing her way back into the spotlight via her show With Love, Meghan and recent cameos on Close Personal Friends and MasterChef Australia.

Bronte noted that Harry was also "very excited" to head back to his home country.

"I've long been told he'd really like to have his children around that wider family network,” she added.

Those close to the couple have said they plan on keeping their residences in California and Portugal as they move into the private, high-security home abroad.

Rumors swirled in recent weeks that Harry may be interested in spending more time in the United Kingdom as he worked to mend fences with his father and stepmother, Queen Camilla.

In July, Harry and Meghan took their children to visit their grandparents for the first time since Queen Elizabeth's funeral. The reunion marked a milestone after years of public fallout.
