Natalie Harp's Brother Reveals What Tore Their Family Apart: 'That Was the Last Time I Ever Talked to My Sister'

Preston Harp, the estranged brother of President Donald Trump’s ubiquitous aide Natalie Harp, described the rift that tore his family apart in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

He revealed that the suicide of their father, Robert Harp, in July 2020, was what broke his family and led his sister Natalie down a dark and disturbing path that has led her to the POTUS.

Robert, a 61-year-old business professor and executive director at a Christian college, Biola University, died by suicide at the family's home.

Preston stated that his mother, Jill Harp, pressured him to cover up the cause of death and lie to others by telling them Robert had "died in his sleep.”

Preston refused to go along with the cover-up because he did not want to minimize his father's pain.

Standing up for the truth directly fractured his relationship with his sister, as Preston noted, "That was the last time I ever talked to my sister."

“I wasn’t really allowed to be in her life,” he said.

The siblings were strictly homeschooled by their mother in a conservative Christian "bubble" focused on biblical education and a strict view of American exceptionalism.

“We were raised with the idea that America was God’s gift to the world and it’s the only place that people really live in freedom,” he explained.

Preston said the family attended a Baptist megachurch, where Natalie spent most of her time with adults rather than peers her own age.

“There would be like skateboarding demos, there would be cool stuff going on, but my sister was just with all the grown-ups, and she preferred it,” he told the Times.

As they grew up, Preston adopted progressive ideals while Natalie remained deeply tethered to their mother’s rigid conservative views.

Preston believes this isolated upbringing, combined with the family trauma, paved the way for Natalie's intense, "unhealthy obsession" with authority figures.

She eventually became an inseparable gatekeeper and assistant to the octogenarian president, whom Preston notes she treats as a protector or father figure.

Documents leaked to The Daily Beast revealed letters Harp wrote to the president in 2023. In them, she described Donald as her "guardian and protector," telling him he was "all that matters to her" and asking him to "cuss her out" if she ever failed him.

Most recently, Natalie was spotted alongside the POTUS and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles leaving a private, VIP MAGA Inc. super PAC dinner at Donald's golf course in Sterling, Va.
