'No One Wants It To Come To Divorce': Julia Roberts & Danny Moder's 19-Year-Marriage Hits Another Rough Patch
After 19 years of ups and downs, Julia Roberts and Danny Moder have hit another bump, and a source says this time they may not pull through.
“The word is they’re secretly living apart,” the source tells OK!, noting that the cinematographer, 52, was recently seen looking glum while leaving an L.A. hotel, just a few days before Roberts, 53, appeared equally morose following a solo meeting.
Although the pair posted loved-up snaps on Instagram in honor of their July 4 wedding anniversary, the source claims it was part of “keeping up appearances” and their recent stay in Australia, where Roberts was filming, wasn’t the bonding experience they’d envisioned.
“Their problems were aggravated there,” the source says. “They spent the majority of time arguing. Julia would get back from set tired, and Danny would be playing videogames with the kids [Henry, 14, and 16-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus] or surfing. She expected him to pick up the slack [at home] but was disappointed.”
The pair have always had different personalities — “Danny’s very laid-back, and Julia’s a total type-A,” notes the source — but these days, it seems they’re simply not getting along.
“They squabble over the most trivial things,” the source continues.

“Julia and Danny both have enormous egos that keep getting in the way of their happiness,” the insider remarks about the popular Hollywood couple and their history of marriage troubles. “They’re just calmer when they’re apart.”
While friends hope they can weather this storm, the source says the Pretty Woman star is bracing for the worst.
“No one wants it to come to divorce, but Julia is entertaining the idea of moving to San Francisco, where she bought a house in 2019,” spills the insider.
“Danny would be heartbroken to see her go, but they both need to learn to compromise if they want their marriage to work.”
