Paris Jackson revealed she got secretly engaged to a mystery man while "strung out on drugs."

Jackson, 28, reflected on her two failed engagements on the August 12 episode of Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast.

Last year, the musician called off her wedding to music producer Justin Long. The pair had been together for three years before Long got down on one knee in December 2024. The model and musician broke off the engagement just a few months later.

But according to Michael Jackson's daughter, that was the second time she got cold feet before going through with a marriage.

Paris Jackson admitted she was 'strung out on drugs' during first engagement.

"This is also the second engagement that I called off, the first one. I don't know if you could count the first one; it was real to me, even though we were strung out on drugs, and the ring was one that he bought with my money without me knowing," she recalled. "It was still like, the love was so real for me in that first one."

Paris did not reveal the name of her first potential husband or when the proposal happened, but made it clear that despite the mystery, it was a genuine engagement.

Before coupling up with Long, the star dated her bandmate Gabriel Glenn. The pair split up in 2021.

Paris Jackson recalled 'hitting [her] breaking point.'

Paris has been open in the past about her struggles with addiction and is now six years sober from heroin and alcohol.

Gabriel was in a relationship with the artist when she got sober and even supported her through multiple rehab treatments throughout their two-year relationship.

"If I have a hit of weed or a drink, I'm going to go back on heroin," she told Alex about her sobriety. "I realized I couldn't stop after I'd gotten rid of like some of the harder stuff and I realized even with weed and alcohol, I was like, I just couldn't stop and it was just getting worse."

"I had my breaking point, I had my bottom," she added. "It just kind of did it for me."

'I'm a Person Who Needs to Be Sure'

Paris Jackson recalls overlooking red flags when it came to a relationship.

Reflecting on why she called off her second engagement, Paris admitted that she wasn't 100 percent sure about the union.

"I'm the person who needs to be sure," she explained. "Even though I have a therapist, like a clinical psychologist, a coach, I have, you know, I have got a whole council of people, friends that know a lot about relationships and all the things that I was going through in life at the time that are like, 'Honey' in asking me the right questions of like, 'Why would you stay?'"

"'And my answers weren't good enough," she added.

Paris revealed that she had been known to "overlook a bunch of things" in the past when it came to her partner.

Paris Jackson noticed that 'loyalty' wasn't her main concern.

"I've realized, just because someone is a good person doesn't mean they're my person," she elaborated. "And I have to be happy. I realized that my non-negotiables are allowed to be non-negotiables. And if these big major needs are not being met, it doesn't matter that you're a good person and you're not going to cheat on me. That's not a reason to stay."

To Paris, "loyalty" is not the first cornerstone of a relationship, especially since she sees so many positive examples in her life that she hopes to hold a potential partner to.

"I live in a city where loyalty is not the biggest thing, so sometimes I may get it in my head that that's how most people are," she confessed. "I have some of the most incredible men in my life that love their wives, that love their kids, that are just such stand-up dudes that would never dream of f---- that up."
