Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's move back to the U.K. may be linked to their declining Hollywood careers.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to return to Britain by the end of August. While the move has surprised many, one producer believes their departure from the industry and the area was always predictable.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Reportedly Leaving Hollywood Over Lack of Fresh Ideas

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to the United States in 2020.
Harry and his wife decided to take a step back from working as senior royals and relocated to America in 2020. Just six months later, they signed a massive eight-figure deal with Netflix for production.
At the time, they appeared confident they could build successful careers in Hollywood, despite economic struggles worldwide and in the entertainment industry. That said, their sudden decision to leave took many by surprise.
Per Rick Nicita, a producer with inside knowledge of the industry who has previously worked as a super agent at CAA, the turn of events seemed inevitable.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly did not 'bring anything to the table' to build a successful career in Hollywood.
Rick told Page Six, “Most people who came here were trying to buy their way in. They had money and that was their ticket to entry.”
“And I have absolutely nothing at all against Harry and Meghan, but they weren’t bringing anything tangible to the table other than their celebrity in a different sphere of life,” he stated.
“So why would anyone give them money to make anything, since it’s not clear what their credentials were?” Rick asked.
However, he acknowledged, “It will still be possible for them to succeed in Hollywood if they get the opportunity for their creative instincts to match the zeitgeist,” before adding, “No one should be counted out.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Have Already Made Basic Arrangements For Their Move Back to the U.K.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were expected to return back to the U.K. by the end of August.
Per The Mirror, the estranged royals have already secured a non-royal residence in Britain.
Their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, are also expected to start school there in September. It has also been reported that the pair plan to stay there for a while, although it is unconfirmed just how long that might be.

Prince Harry previously claimed that he did not think that the U.K. is safe for his family to reside in.
The Duke and Duchess are also reportedly retaining their Montecito, Calif., home, which might indicate their plans to keep their options open for the time being.
It also remains unclear what security arrangements they would have in the U.K. Harry has previously said he does not believe Britain is safe enough for his family to visit, let alone live there.
However, a source told The Mirror, “There's no doubt [Harry] enjoyed his time in the UK with his family, especially getting the opportunity to see his father with his wife and children.”
