Sean "Diddy" Combs has reportedly returned to the general population in prison after an alleged prison fight last month.
The "Last Night" rapper, 56, was released from solitary confinement at New Jersey's FCI Fort Dix after allegedly being involved in an altercation with another inmate in late July, TMZ reported on Wednesday, August 12.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs was reportedly thrown in solitary confinement in July after the altercation with a fellow inmate.
"For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including housing assignments, nor do we discuss whether a particular inmate is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions," the Federal Bureau of Prisons said in a statement, per Us Weekly.
As OK! previously reported, the Bad Boy Records founder allegedly went head-to-head with another inmate after being insulted.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs Reportedly 'Held His Own' During Prison Fight

The alleged fight between Sean 'Diddy' Combs and another inmate was reportedly quickly broken up by prison staff.
Insiders told TMZ on July 24 that the altercation started with shoves before punches were thrown. Diddy reportedly "held his own" during the scuffle, which was quickly broken up by prison staff.
The outlet reported that Diddy was "immediately" sent to disciplinary segregation, commonly known as "the hole," and could face long-term consequences for the alleged fight.
"We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody,” a spokesperson for the prison told the outlet in a statement. "Such information would not be available for the public domain."
During the disciplinary period, the rapper could've had some of his personal property revoked, but would've still been provided with necessities such as a mattress, blankets, a pillow, toilet paper and shaving equipment.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Projected Release Date Changed

Sean 'Diddy' Combs is scheduled to be released from prison on January 24, 2028.
Despite the recent alleged misconduct, the New York native's projected release date has been moved up one month, from February 23, 2028, to January 24, 2028.
Diddy was originally slated to leave the correctional facility in June 2028, but the date was later moved up to April 2028.
The Bureau of Prisons has not publicly explained why his release date has been revised several times.
Sean 'Diddy' Combs Was Arrested in September 2024

Sean 'Diddy' Combs was arrested by federal agents at a New York hotel on September 16, 2024.
Diddy has remained behind bars since his September 2024 arrest, which followed a months-long investigation that included raids of his homes in Los Angeles and Miami, Fla.
Nearly one year later, he was found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in July 2025. He was acquitted of more serious racketeering conspiracy and s-- trafficking charges.
In October 2025, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison, ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and will serve five years of supervised release.
