Suge Knight Says Keefe D Offered Him $1 Million in Tupac Murder Case, Claims More Than One Person Was Involved and Police Corruption Played a Role

Suge Knight claimed Duane “Keefe D” Davis' lawyers offered him $1 million to cover for the Crips leader in Tupac Shakur's murder case.

Shakur was shot and killed from the passenger seat of a car while Knight was driving in Las Vegas, Nev., on September 13, 1996. Almost 30 years later, his murder case is finally headed to trial.

Davis was arrested in 2023 in connection with the case after seemingly admitting on multiple occasions to giving the Crips the go-ahead to shoot at Shakur that night.

With his trial beginning on August 10, Davis has pleaded not guilty to one count of murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang. Davis claimed he wasn't in Las Vegas when the shooting happened.

Despite being one of the only living witnesses, Knight has declared he will not testify. In new claims during TMZ Live on August 25, the music producer alleged that Davis' lawyer offered him money to say Davis "wasn't there" when Shakur was shot.

"I said I ain't saying s---", Knight stated from his prison cell, where he is serving 28 years for a 2015 hit-and-run. "But at the same time, my loyalty and my love for Tupac can't be compromised."

According to Knight, who did not weigh in on whether Davis was guilty or innocent, multiple people orchestrated Shakur's death that fatal night.

"It was definitely more than one person involved," he declared. "Everybody got their hands in it and the people who got their hands in it are just trying to muddy the waters. And the only person who's slow is Keefe D. So it's sort of sad for him."

He even went as far as to say "crooked" cops could have been in on it as well.

"The police that were involved did what they were supposed to do for the other people," he noted.

Following his jaw-dropping allegations, Knight also accused celebrities of speaking out in the press about the case for attention, when they knew little about what really happened or Shakur himself.

"That's my homie and his life wasn't no m------------ circus," he proclaimed. "People just talking to be talking."

His claims come after rapper The Game stated that Davis is being used as a scapegoat in the entire trial.

Before the trial began, Knight reiterated that he hoped to be left out of the investigation.

"This trial has nothing to do with me and if somebody brings me there, it's gonna hurt whoever brings me there," he told ABC News. "I promise you that."

Knight has even repeatedly expressed sympathy for Davis and the position the criminal case puts him in.

"Because if you shoot a person in the head, they die once," he clarified. "If you get on the stand and you snitch on that person, they die a million times. I am not going to be responsible for sending another man to prison for the rest of his life. If God's forgiving, who am I to think I'm bigger than God and don't forgive? Because I'm not."
