Wendy Williams Appears Frail As She's Spotted In A Bathrobe Being Escorted Into Manhattan Building After Announcing Break Due To 'Health Issues'
After OK! spilled Wendy Williams was taking a break to deal with her health, the talk show host was spotted looking frail as she was escorted into her Manhattan building.
“Wendy is dealing with some ongoing health issues and is undergoing further evaluations,” a message read via her Wendy show Instagram account on Thursday, September 9.
The statement continued: “She will not be able to complete her promotional activities next week, but can’t wait to be back in her purple chair on Monday, September 20th for the 13th season premiere.”
A day later, the 57-year-old daytime TV icon was snapped stepping out of a black SUV sporting a gold robe in photos obtained by DailyMail. She also appeared to be wearing blue hospital socks.
Williams held tightly onto the hand of her manager Bernie Young as he helped her inside. Her 21-year-old son Kevin Jr. was also spotted entering her building behind a man pushing a wheelchair, then later catching an Uber out of there. She shares her son with estranged ex Kevin Hunter.
The last time she appeared on her smash hit chat fest was on July 16. Her famous pals hope to see her back in the purple chair soon, and they sent her well-wishes after she announced she was taking a pause from work.

It is unclear exactly what is wrong with the talk show diva, but Williams has been very open about her struggles with Graves disease — an immune system disorder that results in the overproduction of thyroid hormones.
The disorder causes anxiety, tremors, as well as puffy or bulging eyes. In February 2018, the former radio host revealed she had been suffering from the debilitating disease for years.
Last May, the businesswoman took time off her talk show due to Graves’ disease causing extreme fatigue.
