“She’s amazingly dedicated,” Kufa said of the 39-year-old. “She’s intense and never makes excuses to skip a workout,” adding Fergie trains six days a week “religiously.”
Kufa said Fergie, as well as her other celebrity clients like Josh Duhamel, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves, all follow the mantra in her book, The 10% Rule, to “realistically minimize bad habits” so they “never feel deprived.”
As for her diet plan, Fergie relied on “lean protein and small snacks,” according to Kufa, like salmon, egg whites and more.

Fergie’s workout routine, Kufa said, is broken down into all of the major muscle areas—shoulders, arms, abs, legs and butt—for a high-intensity workout.

“I always do cardio before working the muscle groups,” Kufa said.“The muscles will already be warm, so the risk of injury is lessened. With Fergie, we run up to five miles, blasting it in half an hour or doing a more gentle 45- to 50-minute jog.”

For shoulders, Kufa said: “We use 3-pound weights and do high repetitions, which burns more calories and creates muscle definition. Front raises for two minutes, side raises for another two — for as many reps as she can do. After a break, we do overhead presses with straight arms.”
You can’t miss Fergie’s abs in her new video, L.A. Love! But it’s no walk in the park to get as ripped as Fergie. “To warm up the area, we start with as many crunches as she can do without a break,” Kufa said. “To strengthen, you have to go past your comfort level. Most people do 20 to 50 crunches; we do 200 to 600.”

For her toned pins and booty, “squats are key,” Kofa said. “I stand in front of Fergie and she grabs onto my wrists, her arms crossed, feet a bit wider than the hips. Holding onto me, she can sit all the way back.” Sounds intense!
