"It’s doubtful Brad will ever get married again," a source told UsWeekly, adding that the 56-year-old is "realistic about the relationship" with the 27-year-old German model — who lives in Germany — and is currently dealing with "a very complicated family situation."
Despite the ongoing battle with the Maleficent actress — with whom he shares children Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12 — the Fight Club star is extremely content with his new girlfriend and their relationship. "They make each other happy, and it’s an arrangement that is working for both of them," the source dished.
While the Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-stars — who tied the knot in August 2014 and separated in 2016 — were declared legally single in April 2019, their custody battle is far from over.
"Brad wants 50/50 joint physical and legal custody of the kids. Angelina has been unagreeable to those terms," a source told Us, adding that the mother-of-seven "will only agree to talk about an agreement if the home base for the children isn’t Los Angeles. The younger kids are in school in Los Angeles, which Angelina has always been opposed to."
The bitter feud between the two parents continues to worsen, as they are no longer going to family therapy. To make matters worse, the three-time Golden Globe winner has been accused of deliberately trying to delay the divorce proceedings after she filed a request to have Judge John W. Ouderkirk disqualified from their lengthy court battle.
The brunette beauty claimed Ouderkirk did not disclose that he has a relationship with the Troy actor's legal team, which may affect any "fair trial based on facts, with no special favors extended to either side," Jolie's attorney told Us. Pitt's lawyer responded to the Salt actress' failed attempt, saying it "reeked of bad faith and desperation."
"Brad says Angelina has gone way too far this time," an insider dished to Us in August after Jolie tried to have the judge removed. "He’s left with no other option but to dig in and fight back — hard."
But it seems as though Pitt has been getting his sweet revenge on Jolie by flaunting his new bombshell girlfriend — who looks like a much younger version of the 45-year-old. "What Angie has put Brad through is awful. She tried to destroy him, both professionally and personally, during their divorce. If his new girlfriend is getting under her skin, so be it. He doesn’t need to keep his new love a secret just to protect Angie’s feelings," a source close to the Seven star told OK!.
The film producer, who has always been secretive about his romantic life over the years, recently took the model to Château Miraval in France — the $67M French compound that he shares with his ex-wife — and Jolie was "not happy," her friends told OK!. "This place was meant to be for the kids' future, not as Brad’s personal love nest. Angie is livid and this makes her want to fight even harder in October when the two of them next see a judge.”
"Brad deliberately took Nicole to the castle where he and Angelina got married," Pitt's confidant said. "To make it even worse for her, it was on the day of their former wedding anniversary!" The former flames were together for a decade; Pitt was previously married to Jennifer Aniston from 2000-2005.
As for the dynamic between Jolie and Pitt's new flame? It seemed as though the young model made a dig at Jolie when she captioned a recent pic, "Happy people don’t hate." However, when fans called her out for shading Jolie, she reassured her followers that there is no bad blood between them.
While the Girl, Interrupted actress wants Pitt to "get off his high horse and be reasonable" about the court battle, Pitt's friend dished that he is busy falling in love with his new flame. Poturalski is in an "open marriage" with Ronald Mary and the two share 7-year-old son Emil.
Luckily, there seems to be no bad blood between the two men either!
