Matt James & Rachael Kirkconnell On 'Non-Speaking Terms' After Learning Bachelor Was Speaking To Another Girl
It's over… once again.
It looks like any chance at a possible reconciliation between former Bachelor Matt James and season 25 winner Rachael Kirkconnell is unlikely after she heard the handsome hunk was talking to another girl days before their reunion.
"Rachael and Matt are on non-speaking terms after she learned about him lying about being in communication with another girl," an insider dished.
The source added that Kirkconnell became more upset with James after she found out he was in Atlanta over the weekend, which is "less than an hour away" from where she resides, but didn't reach out to her to "make amends or apologize."
"As far as she’s concerned, what they had is in the past now," the insider insisted.
The former NFL player met up with his reality star ex earlier this month in New York City; however, a woman named Grace Amerling claimed, during an Instagram Live with Reality Steve earlier this month, that she was talking to James days before his and Kirkconnell's Big Apple meet-up.
"Rachael is very emotional right now because she was very hopeful that things were going to work out," another insider told Us Weekly of the situation. “She’s still trying to process this."
Kirkconnell felt "manipulated" by James, 29, once she found out about Amerling, since she thought the two were on track to reuniting, the source dished.
As for Amerling, she wasn't thrilled with James and Kirkconnell's reunion, as she "dropped him" after she heard the exes saw each other, claimed the source.

Meanwhile, James allegedly had no plans to get back together with Kirkconnell after their very public break up over her racially insensitive social media posts — which were brought to light while season 25 was airing.
He "tried to make it clear to her that he just wants to be friends," a source close to James revealed of his intentions with the former contestant, adding: "Matt is a caring and supportive person, so he wouldn’t want to block her out of his life completely."
While James did not propose to Kirkconnell during the finale, the lovebirds left the show together. However, their relationship came to an abrupt end after posts showing the 24-year-old attending an antebellum-themed party in 2018 made headlines.
During the After The Final Rose special, James admitted that he at first "dismissed" the allegations as "rumors because that's what they were to me. You hear things that are heartbreaking and you just pray they're not true. And then, when you find out that they are...it just makes you question everything."
After speaking to his former girlfriend about the photos, he realized: "Rachael might not understand what it means to be Black in America," he candidly added. "If you don’t understand that something like that is problematic in 2018, there's a lot of me that you won’t understand."
Kirkconnell has since apologized for her controversial posts.
And while she previously opened up about having a tough time with their breakup via Instagram, the insider said she is now "doing good" and "working on her mental health and getting into a much better headspace."
"She’s focusing on her own antiracism work and working on herself right now. She’s not looking to jump into the dating field any time soon," they insisted.
