Chrissy Teigen 'Lavishing' Celebrity Pals With Gifts & Compliments To Get Back On Their Good Sides Following Bullying Scandal
Chrissy Teigen is going to great lengths to win back her famous friends.
According to a source, the star is “lavishing them with gifts and laying on the compliments,” following the bullying scandal that unfolded in June.
Troubles began for the popular television personality when a series of mean-spirited tweets that she made in the past came back to haunt her.
The once loveable social media guru suddenly became despised when it was revealed that once upon a time, she regularly harassed a then 16-year-old Courtney Stodden — who has since come out as non-binary, and goes by they/them pronouns — telling them to kill themself, amongst other horrible attacks on their character.
Other alleged victims of Teigen's bullying quickly came out of the woodwork, including former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, and Project Runway alum Michael Costello, who claimed that the effects of the harassment were so severe that it ruined his career, and at one point, caused him to become suicidal.

Despite apologizing via social media, the scandal resulted in successfully derailing the model's thriving career, and lost her a lot of fans — possibly even including celebrity friends.
But according to a source, the Chrissy's Court alum has a new strategy to get her back into their good graces.
Teigen “found that her superficial apologies weren’t getting her anywhere. So, she’s changed tactics and become the nicest, most generous person ever,” scoffs the source, who says the Cravings founder, 35, has been wooing A-listers like Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon by sending them cookbooks, cosmetics and other freebies.
“She includes handwritten notes and lays on the flattery nice and thick,” dishes the source, adding that Teigen’s also promising to set people up with a performance from her hubby, John Legend, for their birthdays.
Teigen and Legend, 42, were among the A-Lister celebrity guests that didn't lose their spot at Barack Obama’s 60th birthday bash on Aug. 7 in light of the recent COVID-19 Delta variant concerns.
“She wanted folks to know that she and John made the list,” says a source, referring to Teigen's photos and videos she shared on Instagram at the event.
“Now she’s hoping that other Hollywood heavyweights will follow suit and welcome her back into the fold,” the source adds. “Chrissy is desperate to redeem herself!”
