Kate Moss' Calvin Klein campaign was in 1992.
Fans have now hit back at the criticism that followed her new bikini shots, arguing women should not face arbitrary rules about what they can wear after turning 50.
One model industry supporter told us: "She looks great, and not 'just for her age.' Kate has spent her entire adult life having strangers analyze her appearance, and now people apparently want to tell her what sort of swimsuit she is allowed to wear because she's over 50? She should wear whatever makes her happy."
Another fan said: "There is something ridiculous about pretending a woman suddenly needs a different wardrobe when she reaches a certain birthday. Kate still looks unmistakably like Kate – confident, stylish and completely comfortable in herself."
Kate was criticized in a recent fashion assessment of swimwear for women over 50, which suggested plunge-front swimsuits risk looking dated when combined with glamorous details.
The comments came as Lila was photographed swimming off Formentera with her close friend Olivia Neill, while vacationing with her mother and other friends.
