Kelly Osbourne is opening up about one of the darkest periods of her life following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne.
The 41-year-old admitted that she became so overwhelmed by grief after the Black Sabbath legend died in July 2025 that she barely recognized herself or how much weight she had lost.
Kelly Osbourne Recalled Looking Like the ‘Crypt Keeper’ After Ozzy Osbourne’s Death

Kelly Osbourne said grief made her see herself as a ‘broken person.'
“I looked like the f------ Crypt Keeper,” Kelly told Daily Mail on Sunday in an interview published September 5.
“I said, ‘This is scary. I didn't know I looked like this.’ My spine—you could see every single bone," she continued.
Kelly said friends and family tried to intervene as they watched her struggle, but she was unable to see what they were seeing.
“I couldn't see what other people saw because I was in so much pain,” she explained, adding, “I just saw a broken person.”

Kelly Osbourne admitted she ‘wasn’t very well’ at the Grammys honoring Ozzy Osbourne.
The reality star’s grief became especially apparent as she prepared to attend the 2026 Grammys, where her family gathered to honor Ozzy’s legacy. Kelly attended alongside her mother, Sharon Osbourne, and brother, Jack Osbourne, but admitted she now believes she was not in a healthy enough place to be there.
“I was scared,” she recalled.
“I wanted to be there to support my mum and to pay tribute to my father's legacy. But in all honesty, when I reflect on it, I don't think I should have gone. I wasn't very well," she said.
The fashion designer revealed that she even wore a wig to conceal the extent of her weight loss.
“I wore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn't see how skinny my cheekbones really were,” she said, explaining that her stylists also searched for clothes that would make her appear less thin.
“They knew I was going through something. So, we were trying to find clothes to not make me look skinnier," she added.

Kelly Osbourne Admitted Healing From Ozzy Osbourne’s Death and Weight Loss Will Take Time

Kelly Osbourne reveals she wore a wig to hide her weight loss at the Grammys.
Her father’s death had also affected something as basic as eating.
“You're filled with so much pain that the feeling of hunger can't even pop up,” Kelly said.
Despite everything she was going through, however, she tried to protect her young son, Sidney, from the depth of her grief.
“Whenever he walked in the room, something would come over me and I'd snap into Miss Fun Mum,” she recalled, adding, “I didn't cry in front of him; I'd walk out of the room. I always made sure that he was not exposed to inappropriate sorrow.”

Kelly Osbourne said the person she was before Ozzy Osbourne’s death ‘is dead.'
Kelly has since begun focusing on healing and plans to channel her experience into a documentary series about grief and mental health.
“The person I was before my dad died is dead. That person doesn't exist anymore," she said.
Still, the TV personality is taking things one day at a time.
“I'm getting a lot better,” she told HELLO! in August.
“I've got all the help I need. I'm grateful for the support I have in my life," she added.
“It's a slow process. It's going to take me a minute. I'm not going to be fixed in a day. I'm not going to be fixed on one therapy session. This is a lifetime of work I've got to do and continue to do for the rest of my life," she said.
