Actor Kelsey Grammer recently sparked massive backlash after reiterating his fierce support for President Donald Trump, claiming the current president will likely be remembered in hindsight as one of America's "best presidents." The Frasier star made the comments during an interview broadcast on the British radio station LBC on September 7.

Surveys of historians and political scientists frequently rank Trump near the bottom of U.S. presidents.

When asked by host Nick Ferrari whether Trump would go down in history as one of America's best leaders, Grammer replied, "I think in hindsight he probably will."

Kelsey Grammer defended Donald Trump during a recent interview.

He defended his position by arguing that "nobody really stood up for America in quite some time in the presidency," adding that he believes Trump “loves America.”

“He says if somebody comes at him, if they come at him with hate, which they really have done, he just sends it right back at them,” Grammer said. “And I think that throws them off.”

Grammer previously called Trump "extraordinary" and "maybe the greatest" president during an interview with Fox News Digital.

Kelsey Grammer is vocal about his political views.

Critics heavily slammed Grammer's assessment of Trump "standing up for America," pointing instead to mass casualties from a war of choice in Iran, rising inflation, and severe immigration crackdowns.

Grammer was previously blasted for his hardcore far-right views, including his belief that the U.S. education system is "deliberately" failing students by teaching them about America's shortcomings, calling such criticism "basically child abuse" and part of a "conspiracy."

“Waging a war of choice in Iran, causing mass casualties, and spiking inflation isn’t ‘standing up for America,' said one critic, who added that "history won’t remember this as greatness, but as a disaster.”

Some social media users vowed to boycott Kelsey Grammer's projects because of his views.

Multiple social media users said they would no longer watch or support the Paramount+ Frasier reboot or his other creative works because of his MAGA alignment.

Grammer, a long-time Republican, has previously acknowledged that holding conservative views is considered "the worst thing you can be" in Hollywood and has blamed his political stance for various career and awards setbacks.

While Grammer claims his conservatism makes him a victim of industry blacklisting, critics counter that the pushback is a natural consequence of promoting divisive politics while trying to sell mainstream entertainment.

This friction became explicit during a BBC Radio interview, where Paramount+ PR representatives abruptly shut down the broadcast the moment Grammer affirmed his MAGA support, highlighting how toxic corporate sponsors deem his political views.
