Khloé Kardashian 'Wants More Kids' With Tristan Thompson Despite Cheating Scandals, Couple Had Surrogate Picked Out
Khloé Kardashian has major plans for herself and boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
During the Keeping Up With the Kardashians reunion special that aired on Sunday, June 20, the mother-of-one opened up about the couple's past struggles and current relationship status.
Kardashian admitted that she does "want more kids" with Thompson despite his numerous cheating scandals. In fact, she revealed the on-again-off-again couple — who reconciled over the summer — had come close to welcoming their second child via a surrogate. "It [has] a lot to do with COVID," the reality star explained of the "very tedious" and "hard" process. "I did have [a surrogate] and then it fell through. There's so many tests they have to do and all these things. So I'm still on that journey. It's just, I thought it would be a much easier process and it's not. It's challenging for me. "
While discussing their future plans as a family, Kardashian acknowledged that she and the baller aren't the most conventional couple, but they're making it work. She also insinuated that the media and public have contributed to the couple's rocky romance.
“You know Tristan and I definitely are not perfect,” Kardashian admitted. "But it’s also like Kourtney [Kardashian] said ... when you open up your personal life to so many people too, you hear so much outside noise as well."
During the special, the 36-year-old also got candid about Thompson's past two cheating scandals, which have plagued their relationship.
Thompson famously cheated on Kardashian in 2018 while she was pregnant with the couple's daughter, True. At the time, the NBA star was rumored to have been unfaithful to the TV personality with multiple other women. However, the complicated couple decided to make things work for the sake of their growing family.
“When I had True, it was a very strange [situation] … It was just the circumstances. It’s so hard to explain,” she recalled of staying with Thompson the first time the 30-year-old was accused of cheating.
Kardashian explained that she was a new mom living in Cleveland when the allegations made headlines. “I felt so overwhelmed, like, if I go home, there’s going to be all this paparazzi, everyone asking questions, everyone coming over," the Good American co-founder continued. "I needed to just be alone with my daughter and it was the best thing I did, having three months alone with True."
Just when Kardashian thought she and her beau overcame the drama, Thompson came under fire ten months later after he was exposed for kissing Kylie Jenner's ex BFF Jordyn Woods. The athlete's second infidelity scandal caused the duo to split up in 2019. However, they stayed in each other's lives to raise their daughter.
During the special, host Andy Cohen addressed claims that Woods wanted to send Kardashian a letter to apologize for kissing her man. When asked by the 53-year-old if Kardashian ever received the alleged letter, she replied, "No."
However, Kardashian emphasized that she forgave the model, noting it would be unfair for her to forgive Thompson and not the 23-year-old.
“I personally don’t talk to her, but I think she’s doing really well in her personal life,” Kardashian said of Woods, adding: "I do forgive Jordyn, or else I would be a prisoner in my life."
“I think that’s a huge misconception [that I only forgave Tristan]. That’s also the thing where some narratives aren’t as fun to pass around and spread like wildfire," she said of the 2019 incident, adding that she's aware people slip up sometimes. "I don’t have any grudge against Jordyn. I think people make mistakes, people live, and they learn and I forgive both parties. How could I forgive Tristan and not Jordyn? That sounds asinine in my opinion.”
And even though she and the Boston Celtics player got back together in August after quarantining together with their three-year-old daughter, Kardashian confessed she still has moments of doubts when it comes to trusting her baby daddy.
While she said she trusts him "as a friend," Kardashian explained it can be challenging when cheating allegations continue to surface. However, Kardashian is choosing to trust that Thompson has remained loyal to her since the Woods scandal. "I just have to trust … I just need to focus on today and go day by day. I can’t worry too much about everything else," she added.
Hopefully Kardashian isn't spending too much time worrying about the latest cheating claims made against Thompson. As OK! previously reported in April, Instagram model Sydney Chase claimed she had a sexual relationship with the father-of-two after he and Kardashian reconciled.
