Tom Cruise & Hayley Atwell Reportedly Call It Quits, Costars Still Working Together To Finish Plagued Production 'Mission: Impossible 7'
Another one bites the dust!
Tom Cruise and his Mission: Impossible 7 costar Hayley Atwell have reportedly called it quits.
The couple — who sparked romance rumors in November after a source exclusively told OK! Atwell spent hours with Cruise at his London apartment, and while filming in Italy — have agreed to remain “friends” as filming on the seventh installment in the franchise winds down.
“It has been a very intense period of filming together,” a source spilled to The Sun, adding the actors really hit it off, but due to their schedules and Cruise’s “number of other commitments coming up” their relationship “ran its course.”
“But they’re still happy to work together. It’s a shame, but just one of those things,” the insider continued, noting the former flames still get along.
Filming for Mission: Impossible 7 has been quite the journey for the 59-year-old actor as its production has been plagued by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Initial production was shut down in February 2020 at the beginning of the epidemic before resuming in September.
Last December, the highly anticipated action film made headlines when audio leaked from the set where Cruise lashed out at crew members for not taking safety protocols seriously.
“We are the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us... We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherfu**ers,” the Top Gun star shouted in the audio. “If I see you do it again, you’re fu**ing gone. And if anyone on this crew does it, that’s it — and you too and you too. And you, don’t you ever fu**ing do it again.”
“That’s it. No apologies. You can tell it to the people that are losing their fu**ing homes because our industry is shut down. It's not going to put food on their table or pay for their college education,” he continued in the profanity laced rant, adding, “We are not shutting this fu**ing movie down!”
Production was halted yet again in June due to another positive COVID test. Since late summer, production has seemingly gone off without a hitch with an anticipated release date of May 27, 2022.
Cruise’s fling with Atwell was the A-listers first high-profile romance since his infamous split from ex-wife Katie Holmes in 2012. The exes share 15-year-old daughter Suri Cruise.
