Party's Here! Is Snooki Joining The Cast Of 'RHONJ'?

With filming of the new season of The Real Housewives Of New Jersey now underway, rumors are swirling that another famous resident of the Garden State could be joining the cast.

A RHONJ fan account reported that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi was recently spotted in the same town as cast members Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga, setting off speculation she may be joining the franchise.

As the rumors spread, fans of the went wild over the thought of the Jersey Shore star's crossover to Bravo.

"I WOULD SOOO BE HERE FOR THIS," commented one follower of the fan account.

"Yes! I’d rather have her on RHONJ..then Kris Jenner on RHOBH!" wrote another.

But on Wednesday the 32-year-old, took to social media to set the record straight

“I don’t know how this got started but I have not been asked to be a Housewife. Sowwyyyyy,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

Most recently, the Gorilla Beach author reunited with her MTV costars for reboot series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. In the fall of 2019, she announced she was leaving the show after three seasons because she wasn’t happy anymore.

“I think when I was, like, actually forcing myself to be in a situation that I wasn’t happy in,"she explained on The Mel Robbins Show. "Like, I was forcing myself to be happy, and I’m like, ‘That’s not me. I’m not genuinely happy.’"

"That’s when I’m like, ‘I’m out.’ I just can’t do it anymore," she continued. "Literally, leaving my kids to film it is really hard on me. I try and quit every single day. I just hate being away from the kids.”

The Snooki & Jwoww star married Jionni LaValle in 2014 and they share three children: Lorenzo, 8, Angelo, 1., and Giovanna, 5.

While RHONJ won't be featuring Snooki any time soon, the popular reality show shaping up to be another explosive season. According to TMZ, the show’s 11th season will heavily revolve around Giudice and her family’s drama including her estranged husband Joe Giudice’s deportation to Italy and co-parenting their four daughters.

The 48-year-old, who served 15 months in a federal prison for engaging in bank, mail, wire, and bankruptcy fraud, will be filming the reality series along with co-stars Gorga, Dolores Catania, Jacqueline Goldschneider, Margaret Josephs and Jennifer Aydin.

The show is continuing to film amidst the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. The Jersey cast and crew are reportedly going through extra safety precautions including daily temp checks, social distancing and many scenes filmed outdoors. Crew members are also required to wear masks, but the cast members are not be forced to do so.
