Sharing her side of the story. Elizabeth Chambers has finally spoken out about her ex-husband Armie Hammer’s alleged DMs scandal, in which he detailed his apparent sexual fantasies, including cannibalism and BDSM.
“For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired. I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated. Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know,” the 38-year-old captioned a photo of palm trees on Monday, February 1.
She continued, “I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal. At this time, I will not be commenting further on this matter.”
Ultimately, the journalist wants to “focus” on “our children, on my work and on healing during this incredibly difficult time.”
“Thank you for all of the love and support, and thank you in advance for your continued kindness, respect, and consideration for our children and me as we find ways to move forward. 🤍 EC,” she concluded.
Following Chambers’ candid post, a plethora of celebrities reached out to the mom-of-two. Busy Philipps wrote, “Sending you love,” while Louise Roe said, “You are an amazing Mum, and always will be.” Meanwhile, Daphne Oz left two heart emojis.
Recently, Chambers didn’t hold back after JustJared posted a photo of Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagniono with Timothée Chalamet.
"Armie Hammer’s director and co-star from 'Call Me By Your Name' (Luca Guadagnino and Timothee Chalamet) are teaming up for a... cannibal love story movie. (He’s not involved, just FYI),” the outlet wrote. In response, Chambers commented, “No. Words.”
Earlier this month, alleged old messages from the actor, 34 — who split from Chambers in July 2020 — circulated around the internet. Paige Lorenze, who was linked to Hammer, claimed that he brought up cannibalism “multiple” times throughout their four-month relationship.
“He said he wanted to find a doctor that would remove my ribs,” she claimed. “He was telling me you can remove the bottom rib so he could smoke them, cook them and eat them. He kept saying, ‘You don’t need them.’”
After Hammer’s alleged DMs went viral, the Hollywood star dropped out of his upcoming movie Shotgun Wedding and called the claims against him “bulls**t.”
