'I'm Going To The White House Y'all': Kelly Clarkson Heads To Washington D.C. To Interview First Lady Dr. Jill Biden
Kelly Clarkson is heading to Washington D.C. to interview First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.
On the Thursday, February 25, episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the “Miss Independent” singer turned daytime talk show host will have a socially distanced sit down with President Joe Biden’s wife in her first solo broadcast interview since moving into the White House.
“I’m going to the White House, y’all! First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and I are hanging from The Kelly Clarkson Show. I’m so excited,” she said in a video via Twitter on Wednesday, February 17.
The two will reportedly discuss Biden’s continued commitment to education, military families, cancer research and bringing the country together, and they’ll both take questions from the show’s live virtual audience.
The episode will also feature a special Kellyoke performance by Clarkson and her musical director Jason Halbert, requested by the First Lady and performed in the East Room of the White House.

One person who will most likely not be tuning in is Melania Trump. As OK! previously reported, following her husband Donald Trump’s defeat in the 2020 election, the former first lady is reportedly spending her time at Mar-a-Lago — her home in Palm Beach, Fla. — and apparently stewing with jealousy over her successor.
"She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa (again) and has dinner with Donald on the patio," one person familiar with Melania's schedule told CNN. "Rinse and repeat. Every day." In between “massages, nail care and facial treatments,” she’s enraged with all the positive press Dr. Biden has been receiving.
As the outlet notes, in her four years as FLOTUS, the former model never did an interview with a national publication, and yet, in the short time Dr. Biden has been in the White House, she has appeared on the cover of PEOPLE and was featured in Parents magazine, as well as held at least seven speaking engagements.
The Bidens also appeared in a televised message that aired prior to the Super Bowl.
After leaving the nation’s capital, Trump exited with the lowest favorability rating of her tenure as first lady, according to a CNN poll, with 47 percent of people having an unfavorable view of the 50-year-old Solvenia-born beauty.
