Could the truth be coming out? Kelly Clarkson revealed some exciting news: She has a new duet coming out later this month, and judging by the title, we may learn more about her split from Brandon Blackstock as her nasty divorce battle rages on.
“The news is finally out, y’all! My collaboration with @JakeHootMusic is coming January 27th. Get ready … #IWouldveLovedYou,” she captioned the short clip, which was posted to Twitter on Friday, January 15.
In the video, Clarkson, 38 — who looked noticeably slimmer — sported an all-black outfit while walking around an auditorium, while Jake Hoot, who won season 17 of The Voice, donned a black suit.
Of course, fans went nuts over the announcement. One person wrote, “I can’t wait for this!!! It’s going to be awesome,” while another echoed, “OK, the suspense is killing me now Kelly!!! Good one. Cannot wait to hear this!!”

“‘I Would’ve Loved You’ is a song about how the choices we make and the consequences that follow,” Hoot explained about the collab. “It is a story about someone who has so much love to give, but due to the other person’s decisions, that love turns into a hate that lasts forever.”
This isn’t the first time Hoot and Clarkson have sung together. While on The Voice, the Grammy winner sang Sarah McLachlan’s “Wintersong” with him during the live season finale in 2019.
KELLY CLARKSON LOOKS SLIM & SEXY, SINGS 'NO TEARS LEFT TO CRY' AMID DIVORCE DRAMA: WATCH
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty has been picking up the pieces ever since she filed for divorce from Blackstock in June.
OK! was the first to reveal that their split became less amicable after Clarkson accused her former management company — which includes Blackstock and his father, Narvel Blackstock — of stealing money from her through fraud and “illegal services.”
The “Piece by Piece” songstress got physical custody of her two children — River Rose, 6, and Remington Alexander, 4 — whom she shares with Blackstock, 43.
Despite the drama, it seems like things are looking up for Clarkson — she is working on new music, and her talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, was renewed for two more seasons.
