Long before being a reality star, William Bruce Jenner was a handsome high school star athlete as seen in yearbook photos from his 1968 graduation year at Newtown High School in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.

He was very active in school sports, competing in gymnastics, American football, basketball and, of course, athletics. Bruce went to Iowa's Graceland University on a football scholarship, where he met his first wife Chrystie Crownover in 1968.

Bruce became a national hero after winning the gold Decathlon medal in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal.

His then-wife said that Bruce constantly wore his gold medal around his neck, even while sleeping.

Winning gold led Bruce to become a motivational speaker as well as landed him an acting role, endorsements and a hosting gig on Good Morning America.

In 1977 following the win, Bruce made the cover of Wheaties cereal boxes.

After welcoming son Burt, Bruce and Chrystie split in 1979 while she was two months pregnant with daughter Casey.

Linda and Bruce had two children together: Brandon and Brody.

In 1982, Bruce posed shirtless with Linda for the cover of Playgirl magazine.

By 1985, Bruce and Linda split.

It wasn't before long that Bruce was introduced to Kris Kardashian, who had just gotten divorced from Robert Kardashian, in 1991.

He and Kris later had two children of their own, Kendall and Kylie.

By 2007, Bruce added reality TV star to his resume when Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered on E! with the first episode centered around Kris and Bruce's 16th wedding anniversary.

Jenner has always been open about undergoing plastic surgery and began with a partial face-lift and nose job in the mid-'80s which was totally "botched."

According to one report, Bruce's plastic surgeries over the years led to many disagreements with Kris and the family, leading him to go under the knife for a second time for correctional surgery in 2009.

In 2013, Bruce and Kris announced they were splitting and faced more media scrutiny than ever for his changing appearance.

Bruce then completely experimented with a new look with long hair, manicured nails and underwent a tracheal shave to flatten his Adam's apple.

In 2015, upon announcing he would sit down with Diane Sawyer to discuss his "journey," Bruce reportedly underwent breast implants.
