Alex Rodriguez Determined To Rebound With An 'A-List Actress' After Ex Jennifer Lopez Went Back to Ben Affleck
It seems Alex Rodriguez can't take a loss on or off the field.
The former New York Yankees player isn't thrilled that ex-fiancée Jennifer Lopez moved on with Ben Affleck so quickly after their split, and he is apparently eager to get even and rebound with his own Hollywood star.
“Alex is the most competitive person you will ever meet. His ego was bruised when Jennifer dumped him, however, when she got back together with Ben Affleck, Alex’s ego was destroyed," said a Radar source. "There is no way we will see Alex dating again until he finds himself an A-list actress with an Oscar."
Another source insisted the retired athlete, 46, "think’s he has something to prove. He wants to show Jennifer that she isn’t the only one that can rebound with a movie star."
"It’s crazy how much he still thinks about her," they added candidly.
It's clear A. Rod hasn't gotten over the Latin pop star, despite their split in April, since he's seemingly trying to stay in her family's good graces. He recently liked a social media post by her sister, Lynda Lopez, celebrating the "On The Floor" crooner's birthday.
To make matters worse, Rodriguez conveniently vacationed in St. Tropez for his birthday, the same place Lopez and Affleck just so happened to be celebrating the singer's 52nd birthday.

"Jen always planned to celebrate her birthday in the French Riviera. Originally she planned to be there with Alex, but after the split she took Ben instead," the Radar source explained, pointing out that Rodriguez knew of her plans and chose to follow the loved-up couple there.
“It’s not like Alex couldn’t afford to pay the cancellation fee. He knew Jen would be there and followed her," the source pointed out. "He is obsessed."
Rodriguez has been flaunting his luxurious trip on social media, with him posting photos and videos of his friends and family on the $32 million mega-yacht he got for his birthday.
Meanwhile, Lopez and Affleck had their own luxury yacht, where they were seen packing on some major PDA without a care in the world.
It seems Rodriguez's apparent plan to make Lopez jealous and show her how happy he is without her isn't working since she's too distracted with her rekindled flame. While the Gigli costars called off their 2003 engagement, Lopez and Affleck picked up right where they left off and have been inseparable since.
