Armie Hammer Checks Into Treatment Center For Drug, Alcohol, Sex Issues Amid Assault Accusations: Report
Armie Hammer is getting help.
The fallen-from-grace actor has reportedly checked into a treatment program amid ongoing sexual assault accusations.
According to a new report from Vanity Fair, the 34-year-old departed the Cayman Island, where he had been laying low, on Saturday, May 29 and checked into an in-patient facility for drug, alcohol and sex issues.
The magazine reports that a witness, who shared their account of the events on social media, saw Hammer walked into the Grand Cayman airport with his estranged wife, Elizabeth Chambers, and their two young children. "Elizabeth and kids dropp[ed] him off and walk[ed] in as far as allowed," wrote the witness. "A lot of hugs and seemed emotional."
A source close to Hammer confirmed to Vanity Fair that the actor reached out to Chambers in late May, asking for help and telling her that he was ready to seek treatment — and pledging to stay at the Florida facility, outside of Orlando, as long as it takes. The Social Network star checked into the facility on Monday, May 31, with the support of Chambers and his family, and has been in treatment for over a week, according to two sources for the outlet.
As OK! previously reported, The Rebecca star was seen last month in the Cayman Islands for first time since a woman came forward and accused him of rape back in March.

Hammer's alleged victim, whom he reportedly had on-and-off four-year relationship with, revealed herself on Thursday, March 18, during a press conference with her high-profile attorney, Gloria Allred. “I thought that he was going to kill me,” claimed the woman, going simply by Effie at the press conference but reportedly goes by the name of Effie Angelova.
"On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles,” Angelova continued. “During which he repeatedly slapped my head against a wall bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent.”
In addition to the sexual assault investigation, the embattled star has faced shocking allegations of cannibalism and infidelity. These claims have been supported by text messages that leaked online, many of which contained sadistic sexual fantasies that involved intense violence and described actions of cannibalism at length.
Many of the texts messages date back to 2016 when he was still married to Chambers, whom he separated from in July of 2020.
In the fallout surrounding the LAPD investigation and disturbing allegations, Hammer was let go from a multitude of projects he had lined up, including the upcoming thriller Billion Dollar Spy which he was set to star alongside Mads Mikkelsen. The actor also pulled out from his role in the upcoming Jennifer Lopez film Shotgun Wedding, as well as another film called The Offer in January, following the leaked messages.
Hammer was also let go from his publicist and WME Agency.
