Far-right podcaster Candace Owens ran into Justin Baldoni and his wife at an airport in Iceland, posting a selfie with the actor after nearly two years of publicly defending him amid his high-profile It Ends With Us legal drama.

Owens had extensively covered the lawsuit on her YouTube channel, frequently targeting former besties Blake Lively and Taylor Swift for their alleged roles in trying to seize control of the film.

Baldoni filed a massive $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation, civil extortion, and a hostile takeover of the film's publishing rights.

The bitter legal battle recently concluded when both parties officially settled the lawsuit just two weeks before the scheduled trial date.

Despite the mutual settlement, commentators like Owens declared it a massive PR victory for Baldoni.

Court documents and leaked text messages allegedly showed Swift advising or backing her close friend Lively during the dispute.

Owens accused Swift of weaponizing her massive A-list status to help bully Baldoni and bury information, dragging Swift's father, Scott Swift, into the media coverage as well.

Candace Owens defended the actor amid his legal drama against 'It Ends With Us' costar Blake Lively.

Allegations surfaced that Lively's team attempted to use Swift’s powerful Hollywood network to orchestrate a press takedown of Baldoni.

Despite defending Baldoni passionately for years on the "Candace Owens Show," Owens had never actually met or spoken to Baldoni before.

Owens previously joked that their legal cross-examination — Lively's team even subpoenaed Owens at one point — made them feel like "a family that's been torn apart.”

Lively’s lawyers accused Owens of having a coordinated, biased working relationship with Baldoni's crisis communications team to orchestrate a "smear campaign" against the mother-of-four. They demanded Baldoni hand over communications to prove this narrative, a request that Owens openly mocked on her channel.

Justin Baldoni accused Blake Lively of using Taylor Swift's influence to help her gain creative control of the movie.

The chance encounter in Iceland gave Owens the perfect opportunity to post a celebratory selfie, using Swift's track title "My Tears Ricochet" as background music to mock the situation.

“There was an approximate 1 in 100 million chance that I ran into Justin Baldoni at an airport in Iceland on a Friday afternoon. Just incredible. #Cousins,” Owens posted along with the selfie, accompanied by the Grammy winner's song.

“Using a Taylor Swift song is diabolical,” quipped one commenter.

“That song choice. I’m hollering,” posted another, while a third penned, “You single-handedly saved his career and proved his innocence."

Some believe Taylor Swift's song 'Cancelled!' is a reference to the remarks Candace Owens made about her.

When Owens first claimed that Swift was using her massive PR machinery to help Lively rewrite the movie's script and crush Baldoni, Swift’s representatives issued a blunt denial. Her camp stated Swift had zero involvement in the film's production beyond licensing her song for the soundtrack.

In late 2025, Swift released a track titled "Cancelled!" — which critics at Billboard noted closely quotes Owens' phrasing.

Specifically, Swift references Owens' viral remarks that she and Lively were "girl bosses who flew too close to the sun," leading fans to believe Swift subtly fired back at the commentator with the track.
