Per TMZ, the couple reportedly said ‘I do’ in a private ceremony in early August. Details about the wedding, however, remain under wraps.

It is unclear how long Jake Reiner and Maria Gilfillan had been dating.
It is unclear how the two met or how long they'd been engaged. However, Jake gave a glimpse into their relationship in October 2025 via an Instagram post.
The couple attended a friend's wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the time.
“The first-ever wedding in Vegas was a success. Congrats to the Slacks!” he captioned the post.

Jake could be seen decked out in a black tuxedo, while Maria was adorned in a sleeveless black gown and matching heels.
The couple appeared to be high spirits while attending the event. Jake also sat down for an interview recently with KABC-TV, where he spoke out about how he has been dealing with his parents' murder.
He could be seen wearing a simple gold wedding band on his ring finger during the interview.

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner were murdered in their Los Angeles home in December.
Filmmaker Rob and his wife Michele, who used to be a photographer, were brutally murdered in their Los Angeles home on December 14, 2025.
Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested for the crimes and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Jake opened up about his grief over the situation in the recent interview, saying, “It’s been eight months. It feels like eight years at the same time. And it also feels like eight minutes.”
“Because every moment that I wake up, I’m reminded of my reality,” he added.
Jake Reiner said that his parents loved all three of their children unconditionally.
He also described the shock he felt when his sister, Romy Reiner, called him to their childhood home, recounting the events that had unfolded.
The local news reporter said that although he was not unfamiliar with crime scenes due to his profession, finding his own home and family at the center of such a grisly crime scene left him out of sorts.
“When it’s your crime scene, like a crime scene at your childhood home, [it’s] like the most surreal thing I’ve ever seen,” he said.
Rob Reiner's son, Nick Reiner, was arrested on suspicion of committing the crimes but he has pleaded not guilty.
He also refused to answer questions about his brother Nick’s alleged involvement in the crimes during the interview. However, he acknowledged that their parents took a very hands-on approach to Nick during his recovery from drug addiction.
“My parents had unconditional love for all three of us,” he insisted.
“I can tell you they never stopped wanting to help him. They never stopped helping him,” he added.
Nick is currently held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles without bail. He is set to appear in court for a pretrial hearing on September 15.
