Spilling the tea! Kathy Griffin revealed how she feels about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s relationship reportedly coming to an end — just one day after it was revealed the two are heading towards a divorce.
“I think she really tried,” the 60-year-old — who used to live next door to the Hollywood couple — wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, January 5. “Truly loves him. I like her. He certainly isn’t the devil or anything, but I believe she tried everything to make it work.”
She added, “He made her laugh a lot and she embraced his eccentricities. She loves being a mom more than anything. There’s my two cents.”
Some of Griffin’s followers also weighed in as to why the reality star, 40, and the rapper, 43, decided to go their separate ways.
One person wrote, “I know you have a personal relationship with her (and her Mom who was there for you in bad times) but I think she loved the power he brought to her life more than anything. Before him, they were famous but more infamous than anything,” while another added, “I know nothing about them personally, of course. I don't even follow them. I do know, being with a bipolar person is very nearly impossible. The disease is selfish, it cares about anything except its own immediate gratification. It's impossible to make plans or build a future.”
A third user added, “I love that you are showing empathy and understanding for her. I believe she is a fundamentally good person despite all the trappings.”

The red-headed beauty has been pals with the Kardashian family for quite some time. Since the famous brood’s Christmas Eve party was canceled this year due to the ongoing pandemic, the crew sent Griffin a T-shirt which read, “Kardashian Jenner West Christmas.”

“Big #merrychristmas to these freaks who had me over to their house on Christmas Eve and treated me like family the last couple years, when others in my field were too ‘uncomfortable.’ Thank you gurrrls. ❤️❤️❤️ @krisjenner @kimkardashian @kourtneykardash @khloekardashian @kendalljenner @kyliejenner,” she captioned the photo on December 24.
On Tuesday, January 5, OK! reported that Kardashian and West are going their separate ways, and the makeup mogul hired famous divorce attorney Laura Wasser to help her out. “They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source said, adding that they are in “settlement talks.”
The former flames haven’t been spotted together recently, and they weren't with one another during the holiday season — West was in Wyoming, while Kardashian was in California. In fact, “Kanye is believed to be in Wyoming when he learned the news” about the divorce, a source exclusively told OK!.

"Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce," a source dished. "She's done."
Despite sticking up for her husband after his public outburst over the summer, the two hit a rough patch and just weren’t able to work through their issues.
“Kim has known for some time that there were major problems in the marriage, but in recent months she went from being frustrated by Kanye’s behavior to being heartbroken,” another source exclusively told OK!.
“If this divorce is really happening, I don’t see it being amicable," the source added.
The couple, who got married in 2014, share four kids: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 2, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 20 months.
