OK! Told You First: Clare Crawley & Dale Moss Are 'Taking Time Apart' After Whirlwind Engagement

Another Bachelor Nation couple bites the dust ... for now! Clare Crawley and Dale Moss are "taking some time apart," a source revealed — just three months after OK! exclusively reported that the athlete was spotted flirting with someone other than his fiancée. 

"Clare and Dale have been fighting a lot recently," the insider noted. "They are mainly in disagreement over lifestyle preferences. Dale wants to be in a lively city and focus on his career, and Clare is rooted in Sacramento to help care for her mom. It's been very tense recently between them." 

On January 15, Crawley went to visit her mom, who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, and said she “couldn’t hide my hard day” while visiting her. “A mother always knows. Without saying a word, she reached in her pocket and pulled out this tissue and just squeezed my hand.”

That same day, Moss posted a photo of himself staring out of the window of a car. “New day …” he captioned the snap. Moss also shared photos of moving boxes on the ‘gram, which could signal that he’s not ready to shack up with Crawley just yet. 

Crawley decided to leave The Bachelorette with Moss after she realized he was the one for her. Despite looking picture-perfect on social media, their relationship seemed to go through some trials and tribulations.

First, Moss was seen “in SoHo with three women” on Saturday, November 14, an insider revealed. “He went to an event at Hugo Boss and was seen leaving with three model types. He was later joined by a fourth who seemed to be his friend. Then, he was spotted drinking outside in SoHo, where he was kissing one woman, but like pecks.” 

On top of that, Delaina Dixon, former cohost of VH1’s The Gossip Table, said on a podcast that when she met Moss in 2016, she felt like he was just using her in order to advance his career. “Chatting with him and hanging out with him, it’s easy to understand why Clare would fall for him so fast,” she said.

Despite moving quickly, Moss defended their connection, saying, “For me personally, there is no explanation needed. I’ve never been afraid of commitment. And when I met Clare, I knew I was all in. She lights a fire in me that I was missing for so long.” 

For her part, the California native declared her love for Moss and couldn’t help but gush over him. “We have this connection where it just feels like I’ve known him forever,” she said. “It’s that intangible chemistry that you just can’t make up and you can’t replace. It’s something that is so rare to feel so connected to someone when you’ve only known them for such a short period of time.”
