Scott Eastwood Is the Son of Clint Eastwood

Scott Eastwood is the fifth of Clint Eastwood's eight children.
Scott was born on March 21, 1986, in Monterey, Calif., to Clint and Jacelyn Reeves. He has seven siblings: his full sister, Kathryn Eastwood, and six paternal half-siblings Laurie Murray, Kimber Lynn Eastwood, Kyle Eastwood, Alison Eastwood, Francesca Eastwood and Morgan Eastwood.
Reflecting on his childhood, Scott told Route Magazine, "I was born in California, [but] lived for about seven or eight years in Hawaii, which was pretty cool. I grew up fishing, doing a lot of diving, a lot of surfing, a lot of ocean activities. I had a pretty simple childhood to be honest. I lived with my mom for the first half and we lived between California and Hawaii."
He revealed he split his time between his father's Northern California ranch and a 30-acre property near Parker Ranch on Hawaii's Big Island.
Scott was expelled from high school for selling pot as a teen. At the time, he was living with Clint in California.
"I got into a little bit of trouble; every kid does. I sort of straightened out and then decided that I would go to college, but I'd also chase film and try to make a career and try to charge a career in making film," he continued.
After high school, The Longest Ride actor attended Santa Barbara City College, where he got around on a bicycle.
"My dad wouldn't buy me a car," Scott revealed to Dax Shepard in an episode of the "Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard" podcast. "I made that pitch and that didn't go well."
Although he was "furious" at his father at the time, he realized it was "probably for the best" for several reasons.
"One, the value of money and what that is and learning respect for that… I think that's the principal lesson that he wanted me to know, that like this doesn't grow on trees and you better go out and earn it.," he shared. "Also giving your kid a car at 18 or 19, are you drinking and driving? Are you doing something stupid?"
Scott previously told People his first car was a 1991 Ford Crown Victoria, and he "had to buy every car after that."
Scott Eastwood Followed His Father Into Hollywood

Scott Eastwood is one of the most successful actors among his siblings.
Scott followed in his father's footsteps and made his film debut in Flags of Our Fathers in 2006. He also landed roles in Gran Torino, Invictus, Texas Chainsaw and Fury.
In a 2015 interview, he revealed he submitted a tape to be part of the cast of the Clint-directed film American Sniper. However, his father never contacted him for a role.
"I've auditioned for pretty much every one of my father's movies," Scott, who was eventually cast in Clint's 2008 film Gran Torino, said.
When Route Magazine asked him which project he was most proud of, Scott said, "You know, there's a lot that I've been proud of in different ways. That's a really hard question to distill down to one answer. I have great friendships that I've formed with great people, great life experiences."
He explained, "Some films have turned out better than others, but to be honest, it's about the experience. The audience only gets to see the finished product … the bulk of the energy that goes into making film."
Scott has since expanded his empire in the years after his acting debut, landing roles in Overdrive, Wrath of Man, Fast X, I Want You Back, Tin Soldier, Pacific Rim, Suicide Squad and Regretting You.
In addition, he costarred with Taylor Swift in her "Wildest Dreams" music video.
In 2016, Scott revealed Clint encouraged him to get into directing.
"Like he says, it's feast or famine for an actor," he said. "If you're not creating your own material, then you're just fighting for whatever's out there. I definitely have the desire to go to the other side."

Scott said it "happened again" as he was filming the 2014 film Fury when he lost Paul in a single-vehicle accident in Valencia, Calif.
"He was one of my close friends. When you're on a film set, you don't have time to grieve because the show must go on," he continued.
