'1000-Lb Sisters' Star Tammy Slaton Caught With 'Glass Jar' Full of Marijuana in Her Purse
1000-Lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton was caught with a purse full of marijuana after she was pulled over for a routine traffic stop.
The TLC personality had been speeding while out for a drive in Sturgis, Kentucky, just after 5 p.m. on Friday, August 4, when the officer realized he could "smell marijuana coming from the vehicle."
After being questioned about it, Tammy "admitted to having marijuana in her purse," according to a police report obtained by RadarOnline.com.
"In her purse was a glass jar containing approximately an ounce or more of marijuana," the report noted.
As OK! previously reported, the 37-year-old was charged with one count for possession of marijuana and two counts for possessing drug paraphernalia.
Court documents later revealed that the reality television star was ordered to complete a Marijuana Education Program. Since Tammy did finish the program, the court case was deferred for six months. Ss long as she has no other brushes with the law before the new date, the charges will be dismissed.

The incident occurred less than a week after Tammy attended late husband Caleb Willingham's funeral. The 40-year-old passed away on June 30 — roughly two months after he announced he and Tammy had separated — but the Slaton family did not release any details pertaining to his cause of death due to the circumstances being "really personal."
"I’m having stages of grief. Yeah, we were having problems, but I loved that man. I still do," Tammy shared with fans in a TikTok following his death. "I miss him like crazy, but I wanted to thank everybody for your comments. I appreciate them, I really do."
It was later revealed TLC filmed the funeral for the show. Although Tammy did shed tears at the intimate event, a source spilled that the network allegedly pushed to make the funeral more emotional-packed, rather than allowing it to be a happy celebration of Caleb's life between friends and family.
"The filming of the funeral was 'completely not natural' and things were put in there to make it seem sad when it really wasn't that sad," the source claimed. "People were having fun, but [TLC producers] made it depressing."

Tammy and Caleb met while they were both inpatients at an Ohio rehab facility where they were working on their respective health issues.
They tied the knot in November 2022, only a few weeks after getting engaged. However, by April, the couple had already called it quits.
