Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans were shocked when news broke in the evening of January 5 that it was likely Kim Kardashian was going to file for divorce — and it seems as though Kanye West may have been equally as stunned as the rest of the world.

"Kanye is believed to be in Wyoming when he learned the news" of his personal life making headlines, a source exclusively tells OK!.

The internet went ablaze after multiple sources said that the famous couple will be no more. OK! previously reported that Kardashian has enlisted famous divorce attorney Laura Wasser, whose clients include Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie and more. "They are keeping it low-key but they are done," a source said, noting they are in "settlement talks."

Besides not spending the holidays together, Kardashian and West have long appeared to be living life independently, so it should come as no surprise that the duo finally decided to call it quits. West is said to be residing in his $14M Wyoming ranch while Kardashian is with the kids in Calabasas.

"Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce," a source dished. "She's done."

The couple's alleged split comes after a tumultuous year for the duo. While the 40-year-old reality queen stuck by the rapper's side through his U.S. presidential campaign and mental health struggles, Kardashian is focused on her career as a lawyer and work with prison reform.

Over the summer, Kardashian and West hit a (very public) rough patch in their relationship. During his one and only presidential rally, West, 43, claimed he stopped the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star from aborting their oldest daughter, criticized Harriet Tubman and accused his wife of trying to have him hospitalized.

"Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughter's life yesterday," he wrote at the time.

The rapper later hinted that their marriage was in trouble during another rant when he tweeted: “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek [Mill] at the Warldolf [sic] for 'prison reform.'"

Insiders at the time alleged that Kardashian was "furious" that her husband would share such private matters with the public, which subsequently caused a huge fight between the two

While Kardashian stuck by her hubby's side after his summer outbursts, OK! previously reported that the businesswoman "is exhausted from continually trying."

Just a few months ago, insiders revealed that the KKW Beauty Founder was "considering her options when it comes to her future" with West. "She is stressed out between studying law, taking care of the kids and helping Kanye," and already had "divorce options planned out."

The duo wed in 2014 and share children North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 19 months.
